After waiting 3-4 months, I finally got it on at this SF Bay Area Shop! They still have some R1T running boards available, the caveat is that you have to let them install it. Again, running boards only...no sliders. Shop is called ZEVCENTRIC in Fremont. Contact them! Let them know Quincy referred you!

That looks awesome. May I ask you how much it cost for the installation?

The install is really easy by yourself. It took me maybe an hour just because I had to finish it in a very tight space in garage.

For the OP, what's up with the tape around the mounting points? Is that how they completed it? I hope not.

But I do love the running boards, it makes it a lot easier to get in. I feel like I will have less wear/tear on the side cushion of the seat from getting in and out. I used to have to slide out a bit across the seat cushion and I was worried, I would wear it out quickly doing that.

I prefer not to disclose the price just the fact I know overpaid due to it being "SF BAY AREA PRICING". I didn't want to do it myself, or shop around for a better deal. "SO CAL PRICING" is much cheaper but then again, there's alot more competition down there.

The gorilla tape I opted in for, shop wasn't planning to do it but I would've done it myself afterwards. I didn't want an open 4" hole exposed even though I know these plastic trims were more aesthetics than an actual functional barrier; I know dirt, water and everything can still get in. The "L cut" would've been more cleaner but that requires more time and removal of the plastic trim. Everything is underneath, it's not going to be noticed.

Ah ok, yeah, at first I wanted to cut my plastic trim pieces....but as I took them off to install, there was so much dust/dirt inside, it proved to me that these really don't do much other than aesthetics - dirt still gets in. So I ended up just completely removing them and not cutting them. That way in case I remove the running boards in the future, I'll just slap the plastic pieces back on.

I took off the panels of our R1S. But I am unable to get the big bolts off. I even have a drill and all that but they will NOT budge. It’s insane. Gave up after about 10-15 mins trying.
Anyone in or around the Bay Area (East Bay/Martinez/Vallejo/Benicia) that can assist or did it themselves and would want to help out?

Do you have a breaker bar? I used that and with just a bit of oomph, I got all of them off within seconds.

I do not. Just checked a local Harbor Freight and they have a few different ones in stock. I’ll pick one up in the next day or two. Woooo!

Was able to ask a neighbor and got 1 side installed so far! Looks great.
