I’m getting my running boards installed today, I’ll most likely get it cut and put back on for aesthetics and some sort of protection even though it’s not really needed.
Hi all,
I'll be making our first "long distance" road trip with our R1S. With all the issues I read from other owners, the lack of confidence on taking the Rivian out for a road trip is creeping up to me. Has anyone taken their Rivian down HWY 101 w/o incidence and any recommended ev charging...
The installers are somewhat suggesting that I just go w/o the plastic trims since they really have no apparent use other than for aesthetics. Dirt and water still gets trapped inside. That is why I'm trying to see if I'm missing anything about them.
Anyone figure out if there's any benefit of keeping the plastic pieces that needs to be cut to be on or not (RUNNING BOARD OWNERS)? From what I've researched, it doesn't add any protection other than a dirt/water trapper and more of aesthetics. Just debating if I want to cut into it or just...
My boards are in! Probably have it installed in the next couple weeks after my mobile rivian appointment. Don't want them to find an excuse to not fix my issue under warranty. I'm planning to have ZEVCENTRIC the place I purchsed the boards do the install w/the 4" hole. I'll probably tape it...
It only happens when the steering wheel is fully turned and at very slow speeds. Going straight has no sound. Only can be heard outside or windows rolled down. I’m suspecting something metallic is hitting something when turned. Sounds more like a clang in the video but in person is like a...
Sorry if its been asked, but has anyone installed the boards w/o the plastic piece instead of cutting it? Has anyone figured out what that plastic piece actually functions as?!?! Is it for aerodynamics or protection? If it's neither, why didn't Rivian just eliminated it and save cost that way.
Had the update finish last night, took it out for a late night grocery trip. I love the new improved suspension. On Soft, it's more refined, less "boaty", did some swerving to test it, still some body roll but smoother. On Stiff, it too became more refine, became less "clunky" and the...
ZEVCentric in Fremont. They carry the EVSPORTLINE boards/sliders...basically another distributor and they plan to become an installer of these boards for EVSPORTLINE according to the owner. I have my order placed with them to avoid shipping cost. Still waiting....
It’s a hardwire L2. It has no issues charging my other plug in hybrid. It has no issues using the portable charger at 110V, I have no 240V outlet nearby. The L2 charger is a solar edge EV charger that is hardwired into the inverter. Never had issues until this OTA update.
In the past the Rivian was always set at 48. My L2 is 40. I never had to touch anything and it would charge regardless without tripping the breaker. Only this update has started to cause it to trip. I’ve even did a hard reset to no avail.
After this new update, my level 2 EV charger will trip the breaker each time I tried charging the R1S. I’ve never had to lower the amperage in the car for it since owning and charging each OTA update I had. This time I’ve tried lowering from 48A to 38A and still trips the breaker. I also did...
After this update, it now causes my breaker to trip each time I plug it in to my level 2 charger. I’ve tried 48A down to 38A. Never had to do this on prior OTAs
