Dual motor? Not possible unless they add a two gears on each end of the motor's axle and each of them having an additional gear which allows it to engage in the opposite direction when selected. Possible? Yes. Overly complicated? Even that much more more so than a quad-motor design.

Yep. Not sure why we haven't seen any here yet either. That and I'm gunning that if Georgia fucks up and declines Rivian to built their plant there. They'll consider Florida (most DEFINITELY welcomed here!!)
Huh, would have been even more interesting had that ship been able to make use of solar panels to recharge the batteries in mid-travel. Something that large has the space to deploy such large pannels.
