I would consider the Gladiator 4xe version. The small ev range of 23+/- miles is tough to deal with and so is the $70k price. Not to mention it's not even been officially announced yet.
I have a 2020 Tacoma V6, 4x4, & auto. Drove to Michigan to buy an 18 foot center console boat last month. Probably 3500lb boat, trailer, motor.
I got 23mpg going there @70 mph.
With boat, 11.5 mpg@ 64 mph.
if I brought the speed down to 60mph my range went to approximately 14mpg but it was...
No worries with this commute. Rivian said range would improve/be higher in 2WD mode, or whatever they will call it.
I'm in northern Ohio too, and on the highways, doing 80 mph, I would assume the roads are clear and no need for 4wd. If the occasional blizzard blows through and the highways are...
I've been very interested in this topic, comparing interior space with a third generation (current) Tacoma. I ditched a F150 supercrew a few years back because it wouldn't fit in garage and was way too big for me wife to park, ferry to the island, etc. With that said, the truck interior was...
Check out a Wrangler 4xe. My Wrangler Unlimited was great for hauling tools and equipment with the seat folded down, it was surprising actually. I've heard good reviews about their 4xe system too, and it has been used for at least a few years in their minivan. Just a thought.
I totally understand the supply chain issues (my brother-in-law is a supply supervisor at a Ford plant - you wouldn't believe the supply issues he deals with ALL THE TIME), plus, drive by a new car lot - they are barren. So I get it - x100.
I also get the QA work the plant is doing as well...
Hey all, live in Avon, work in Rocky River. I pre-ordered in Nov 2018, I think I am order number 3437. I am not getting the launch edition though. The covid delay in production messed up my timeline for my lease ending - so I will look to push my order/deliver date to May of 2022. I hope they...
Not impressed with the standard tonneau cover breaking down into four pieces and storing in the gear tunnel. Though this is a better option than stacking accordion-style and blocking the rear window.
I'm so happy to hear that Rivian's skateboard architecture is being thoroughly tested in this manner before widespread R1T & R1S vehicles hit the road. This alleviates a lot of fears I have for the earliest production units.
I get that the body and all the other systems on the civilian models...
I agree, pre-order appointments would seem to be a no-brainer. I trust that Rivian - who seems to be doing everything the right way, would do this.
I'm 5+ hours away in Cleveland, but would definitely make this trip to see one in person. I'm guessing this will be the closest showroom to my...
I don't know much about physics and may not be a Captain Obvious but here is a simple test you can do to figure out how inefficient ANY vehicle is on anything other than level, dry pavement.
1. Ride a bicycle at 14mph on level dry pavement.
2. TRY riding a bicycle in the sand. Good luck.
The...
