Is the gear tunnel accessable from the inside of the truck? As you can see, the opening on the left side of the pic. That gear tunnel looks like it will take up a serious portion of bed space. Is this just an optical illusion?

I would guess it will some type of composite bed construction, similar to the gen 3 Tacoma.
