The length when on bed vs the top are quite different. By being adjustable, the bars work on either location. They are so quick to put on/take off, so although I usually have them on, if I do any long drives, I take them off. Takes 2 min.

It has a really nice tight fit in most areas, but as you can see in the pic, I'm a bit surprised it doesn't sit flush or over the door sills and leaves that small gap. I'm a bit annoyed with that since that is specifically where you tend to get a lot of dirt as you enter/leave the car. Oh...

I found any free chargers at strip malls we have in our area are pointless. The few people who work there or live near it, keep their car plugged in and swap out with other co-workers/friends. When it's free, people will abuse it. I think the only solution to this is where you see more...

Congrats. Like you already realized yourself. If you didn't already have a pre-order, the cost isn't that far off from ordering one anyway, except for having to wait another year to even get it. You wouldn't qualify for the $7500 rebate come next year anyway either so no loss there as well.

Yeah, same here. So what I've done, even on my Tesla Model 3 was to only slap them on if I was going to do a long road trip. They can be put on and taken off so easily, I figured it doesn't hurt to have it on for just those occasions.

All those 5 sections along with the center are one whole piece/hubcap and pop right off within seconds. The only problem is the center of the wheel is just a bare hole so we found ways to substitute a center cap until we can get a hold of the OEM Rivian one.

I assume you mean the aero hubcaps removed? I removed mine and put on generic amazon caps, and put TWRAPS vinyl logo on them. The wheels look MUCH better without them on.

Any chance you'll do one with felt lining? Usually trays like this are felt lined and make it look/feel much more OEM-ish. Also sliding objects are quieter inside a felt tray vs hard plastic like this I think.

Ah bummer, this is about what I’m seeing for all these roof top tents with our wide crossbars. i really like Yakimas brackets but they are near impossible to find.
