Hi all,
We were lucky enough to take possession of our R1T on Monday. Loving it so far.
Until we tried to charge it last night...
- Chevron On the run - 2 different CCS chargers
- FLO
- Petro Canada
In all cases it initializes and does the whole handshake thing. then charges for about...
Sorry, maybe my wording was a bit vague..
I am sure you can send it in earlier than the day before. I should have said it needs to be at the downtown location at least 1 day before.
I agree that it is a bit of a pain.
For the bank draft, I confirmed with rep Tyler today that it needs to be dropped off at the downtown location the day before. But contact them, maybe it can be different in your case.
But I did confirm that 100% you have to drop off the cheque downtown, and then take delivery in Richmond.
For those who have been lucky enough to pick up their Rivians, how did you make the payment. As I understand it, there are a few options (each with some pros and cons):
1) Bank draft - Easy to get from your bank, but you have to drop it off at Rivian's office downtown Vancouver at least 1 day...
An old thread.. I dropped into my ICBC agent last week. They have 2022 R1T's in the system,. Not the 2023's, but they said it will be the same rate since it was not on some special list...
With my full discount it is +- $1,800 /yr. Which is exactly what I am paying for my Audit s4. I was...
your comment about "re-justifying" the purchase is soo accurate... But have you seen costs of other vehicle lately? I don't think you can get into a new X5 for cheaper. And a loaded X3 gets pretty damn close. (well for the price us early adopters are paying)
So our family can afford it, but it...
I am 6 weeks out apparently. Truck is on the train heading this way.
I got a bit ahead of myself when I was asked to submit my documents etc, so I sold my previous car. When I spoke to delivery advisor he had a bit of a panic for me because truck is still 6 weeks away. "Lucky" we had a 3rd...
so FYI, I received my VIN number about 10 days ago. On a call (2 days ago) with my delivery advisor (very nice guy) he explained that it means the truck is on the train and heading this way. He says I should expect delivery in about 6 weeks.
yes I did. I have now edited my post with some more comments. It was about a 25min drive. But maybe overall thoughts:
- It just felt 'right'. Very comfortable, easy to drive. parallel parking was easy (at the end). 100% a daily driver.
- I was worried what a 800+ hp vehicle would feel like. It...
I did my drive yesterday. the downtown part is obviously slow. But they take you underground past the convention center, and then on that road past Helijet. you can get a bit faster down there.
edit: some thoughts after the drive:
1) I was surprised how powerful the regen was. It was set to...
