Interesting you bring this up. I’m not sure if what I notice is the “clunking” or not but the only time I notice it is on I-17 on the way up from Phoenix to Flagstaff.
For the OP — not a big deal. For me, it’s like a subtle gear shift you would feel in an ICE. You just don’t expect it in...
Correct. Older Superchargers are not compatible with non Tesla’s even with an adapter. So, unless those are upgraded, they won’t work for your Rivian. New River and the two locations in Flagstaff also are not compatible.
The easiest way to see what I mean is to go in your Rivian phone app...
To be a little more accurate, I’m doing Munds Park and back. I use 45% up and 28% down with 6% for a quick trip and vampire drain while there. So, started at 100%, ended at 21% (86 miles). You’re right that Flagstaff is a bit further and a different thing.
I did go up to Munds, then Flag with...
Thanks. I hope I’m just missing something. I’ve tried this for years including in my former Tesla before voice texting was added to the car. Maybe I’m remembering wrong and the issue is if you ask it to read your messages? There was only one thing that didn’t work, but it was important. I’d...
I checked and had that switched on, but I swear it would never let me do it. I’ll try again this week. If that worked, I don’t care about built in texting for the vehicle. I don’t need to see it. Just the ability to do it by voice.
You can’t initiate a text through Siri when the phone is locked. So you have to pick up your phone and look at it to unlock it. It’s not really hands free. If it wasn’t for that, this would be perfectly usable to me.
Adding another thumbs up after upgrqde. I saw the email about the 4.5 to 4.1 0-60 change before I did it, but I didn’t expect it to feel different with just general driving and it does. I previously had a Model Y Long Range with the speed boost. The Rivian now feels peppy like that in normal...
I’m with you. I didn’t understand the idea that if you’re buying a truck and spending an extra $5k you might as well spend $13k. And your case of $54k is pretty clear.
The Dual Max Performance has the $5k option. So, I don’t understand case regarding the value of the Performance upgrade that if you’re going to spend $5,000 you may as well spend $13,000. I’m not arguing. Just seeking to understand the relative value point. I assume there is more value per...
I just checked my Rivian app and it shows up. Check the filter button on the upper right and make sure you don't have "Adapter Needed" flipped on in the Hide section. Like you, I've stopped there in a Tesla several times, but haven't yet in a Rivian. I travel there from Phoenix and can now go...
On the way into town coming from the north there are good EA chargers at the Tucson Premium Outlets east off the I-10 exit to Twin Peaks Rd. A few miles past that there are good newer EV Go chargers at Target east off the Ina exit, and 1 mile later are Tesla chargers east off the Orange Grove...
Your efficiency will be different depending how, when and where you drive like others have said. Just as example of an expectation though, I get anywhere from 1.7 mi/kwh to 4.5 mi/kwh depending on elevation and speed, but average 2.3 mi/kwh over time. But I live in an area where it’s 60...
Check the Settings of each app (from iPhone Settings) and make sure the setting is flipped on to allow Network access. I've tried a bunch of apps and they all work. So, if YouTube is casting from your phone (i.e., you don't mean using the built in app in the vehicle) you've got it all going...
Hadn't tried that one so I went out and gave it a go. Worked fine. So, I flipped through and got these results with an iPhone 16 Pro Max:
Peacock = yes
Disney+ = yes
Hulu = yes
Prime Video = yes
Max = yes
Paramount+ = yes
YouTubeTV = yes
ESPN = yes
Netflix = no (there's a cast button but it...
