I had an issue with simple tire where I couldn't order installation because they didn't have the Rivian on their selector.
But, got the tires for about $1,200 - installation was another $200.
Who did you order from?
A few weeks back we were traveling over the Santiam Pass here in Oregon and I hit a patch of ice, the truck got a little squirrely. I then read on the forms that others were less than impressed by the AT20's in packed snow / ice. So I decided to get a set of snow tires for the rig. I have...
Thanks for saving me the hassle, i was just about to go look at Per Capita deliveries. I figured based on the raw numbers Oregon would be near the top.
I couldn't go through Wyoming, so I had to go a bit out of the way, but they have put the EA charger in Laramie it looks like, so that route is not feasible. Although there is a dodgy stretch in the middle.
Here is my trip report driving back to Portland. The only thing that would give me pause would be the weather. But if you can get a clear 4 days, absolutely go for it 100%

Nonsense. I picked mine up in Normal having only ever test drove a Model Y for like 30 minutes. Charging was a complete non-issue. I just used ABRP and made sure I was stopping at a charger that if I had an issue, I could make it to the next on the route.
Yes it did add time, about 1 hour a...
I am in Oregon and get about 193 miles on 70% with 20" ATs.
Why is the drop in range discouraging? Are you in situations where the extra 30-40miles w/o charging is a deal breaker? Or is it more about increase in costs (due to decreased efficiency).
From my perspective I was all set to have...
Dumb question: If I just have the shop put the tires on stock rims do i need to worry about TPMS or is that only a concern if you get a second set of rims to mount the tires on?
I returned mine. Heard from others that based on the Rivian already having an external cell antenna the benefit works be minimal. But, I never tested that hypothesis.
update: 5/23 11,955 miles
Truck needed an alignment and the half shafts needed to be lubricated - it was taken from portland to belevue and was gone 4 days. Other than that it's been solid. .

I have not but some folks I spoke with in Yakima last weekend has driven their Mach-E up 97 without any issues (and coincidentally were driving up from Livermore). Not like for like, but the R1T has better range than the Mach-E, but is also faster to charge so they are less inconvenienced by...
