My understanding is that there will be very few, if any, Dual Motor R1S deliveries in 2023.
From my Rivian guide on March 2nd: "As implied in the video with RJ, very minimal deliveries of this spec will be made beginning of fall, prioritizing our 2018/2019 pre-order holders, then continue...
I lost access to the shop this past Monday. I know it's supposed to be a sign that my car is being built, but no email from Rivian so far. My window is April-May, so hopefully it won't be much longer.
Happy for you, but the way Rivian prioritizes deliveries is frustrating to say the least. I reserved an R1S in 2018 and yet, as of today, I have no car, no 8 steps, no nothing.
I had the opposite experience. I configured my R1S with Rivian Blue b/c I loved how it looked in the pictures. Then I saw it in person, didn’t like it, and switched to LA Silver. I’m planning on wrapping the car.
You're free to ridicule the topic as many have in the past but the US government is on the record as saying UAP's are real. I wish I knew what they are powered by, hot air or otherwise.
CR rates the Wildpeak HT02 tire worse than the Ziex CT60 in every category, including wet braking, snow traction, and rolling resistance.
Are you looking for other tires to try because you're not happy with the Scorpion AS+3's ?
FWIW, Consumer Reports says the Ziex CT60 is a strong performer in snow traction, rolling resistance, and quietness. Also, its load rating is 116 XL, whereas most other 275/60R20 tires are rated 115 SL (which some tire shops may refuse to install).
However, it is heavier than the Scorpion AS+3...
It is indeed a very good tire but I know that Tesla owners are reporting a significant impact on range b/c of its high rolling resistance. Also, it's not available in any of the Rivian tire sizes.
I'm planning to get the 20" bright wheels for my R1S just because I like how they look. I will likely mount 275/60R20 all-season tires like you did for better efficiency, a bigger sidewall than the 21's, and more tire options in the future. Now that you've had the Scorpion tires on 20" wheels...
If you already have 21" wheels, then yes, definitely go with the 275/60R20 winter tires. It's an easy swap, no reprogramming required. There are better winter tires than the Blizzak DM-V2 out there (specifically the Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV and the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV) but they may be...
The OP's Blizzaks are LT275/65R20 126/123R E, so load rating is not an issue.
For 22" wheels, you can get winter tires in the 275/50R22 115H XL size like the Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV or the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV.
