  1. Anyone using ElectraFi ?

I have it with my Rivian, also use Teslafi with my Model Y. I love the data and the view. Electrafi worked without issue from day one, up until the moment our R1S was totaled. I did just notice a flaw in the data that incorrectly records the max speed. At times, looks like my wife was...
  2. Hard to say goodbye!

definitely has been my concern on ICE. We just took the drive again today to go see her parents (in my Lightning). Saw where she hit, an ICE would have rolled most definitely after striking the curb and sliding through the ditch afterward. The Center of gravity on these cars are so much...
  3. Hard to say goodbye!

Appreciate everyone focusing on her safety. That is the first thing we must look at with a vehicle. I urge folks to always think of the safety of a vehicle prior to any other function. The Rivian SOS system engaged and reached out, this is an incredible comfort for me. Unfortunately, she did...
  4. Hard to say goodbye!

TLDR;; RIP Led Tasso (The name of our R1S, for Ted Lasso fans, this pays homage to the more agressive, angry version of Ted - somewhat how we felt with the performance of the R1S, just a beast). So, first let me start with everyone is ok with no injuries and no other vehicles damaged. With...
  5. FYI: R1S trade-in quote from Rivian = $69.5K

I would agree. Also, OP likely purchased with original pricing on the LE, so ~13% depreciation for the 22k miles. Gone are the days of reselling for a profit...Look at my $90k+ Ford Lightning Platinum. Best offer I got last summer with less than 10k miles was less than $70k. I could have...
  6. Is servicing going to be the downfall to Rivian?

I had the same with my Ford Lightning delivery, Ford would not fix some of the minor alignment issues. Tesla had similar issues, which for me, at my service center have been worked out. So far with Rivian, my service experience with our R1S has been mostly positive. The only issue I have had...
  7. Anyone Tinting Just the Front Windows on an R1S?

I did a gloss black vinyl wrap. I tried th twraps option, but the adhesive grid was showing through. Had a local shop in Houston. Holding up ok after 6 months.
  8. Just got this update notice…

I would rather that than bricking it. Also, better than ford who disables 1-pedal driving, rear seat monitoring and turns on the propulsion sound after every update for me. Nearly rear ended a car in the service lane when I picked it up from service last week at Ford. And seriously, who...
  9. Lucid Gravity Reveal

I struggle with the Lucid Vehicles in general. I think from the B- Pillar forward, they are great. Somewhere before the C-Pillar, it loses it for me. In this image, it looks like they said, oh crap, the third row does not fit. Lets add another foot to the back. I wanted to like it before I...
  10. Is your experience with the Rivian GPS Nav as Bad as Mine has been?

This was my experience just yesterday. Ran into issues with charging at my hotel on a trip this week (3 total plugs, all plugged in overnight while all were fully charged when I pulled up at 7pm). On my return trip, if my R1S had been able to charge, would not have needed to stop. That being...
  11. Rivian or another vendor wall charger?

Cannot go wrong with the J1722 from Tesla. Great price, solid reliability. My rivian and my Ford Pro Station both stop working at random and require me to flip the breaker to restore them to working order. My Tesla plug has never had an issue.
  12. Projected range on 21" wheels @100% in Conserve Mode?

I dont remember what it was showing. Will be charging to 100% on Friday. Will post back.
  13. Projected range on 21" wheels @100% in Conserve Mode?

yep, at 100% shows 321. It is not showing a reduced range with the 22's compared to the published 21's. Picked our R1S up end of June. Verified on the screen it is configured with 22's. For real world, I am getting really solid results on the highway when compared to my F150 Lighting and...
  14. Projected range on 21" wheels @100% in Conserve Mode?

We get 321 with our R1S on 22's. I have found I get about 300 driving 75 on the highway.
  15. Just downloaded best OTA update yet?!

Looking forward to testing it out as I got the update last night. I see there was a lot of work on the phone integration, but really want to see messaging. I am not a huge "we have to have CarPlay/Android Auto integration" proponent. I get why it is fully proprietary, but would love to see...
  16. ‘22 Vin from shop assigned - in sept 2023

Same response I had from my guide, took 2 days to get it back, but caused a few issues with my purchase due to my loan being on the original VIN, their backend system was processing on the old VIN, the front end on the new VIN, so had to repeat everything.
  17. ‘22 Vin from shop assigned - in sept 2023

So, I was trying to figure that out as maybe it was just a misprint, but then everything was showing 2022 when I looked at insurance and financing. My concern was looking at a build vin of 1395, it would appear it would have been built in November of last year, so I was thinking there were QA...
  18. ‘22 Vin from shop assigned - in sept 2023

I had the exact same thing happen to me in June, same build. I received VIN 1395, after a bit of back and forth, I had it removed and started over. Was able to find another exact match a few days later. Even if it is new, getting a "1 year old" vehicle impacts resale, insurance in my case...
  19. 22" Michelin Tires @ Costco for under $2K installed (compatible with Rivian 22" factory wheels)

Have the General Grabber HTS 60 on my F150 Lightning. Same size as my R1S 22's. I have seen very little wear with 10k on these with a mix of highway and city driving. at $232 a tire, much better than the $500 for the Pirelli. The Grabber's run similar from a road noise perspective...
  20. Anyone Tinting Just the Front Windows on an R1S?

I did PRIME XR PLUS on my R1S. DId 70 on windshield/roof/rear, 30 on the front windows. I am in Houston, been a rough summer with the heat, but the tinting did help.
