My OCD on this install would drive me nuts. Why are the logos facing the rear, either make them face the front or turn them to the outside where you can read them from either the drivers or passenger side. But other than that, very nicely done. I would miss the compartment under the drivers side...
I think the JL 10TW3 is a fantastic low profile sub, that should hopefully fit. The air volume requirements for it are not too terrible. I had one including the amp and DSP under the passenger seat pedestal of my 2019 sprinter van and it was awesome. Rarely did I have to run it above 60% volume...
I hope he does a better job than he did at the Sprinter Vans in SC. Mine had lots of issues and tons of recalls due to manufacturing quality issues. But welcome aboard.
If that pricing sticks, that would be fantastic. I could see chargers overrun in high electricity states such as California. Here in the PNW with low electric costs, this just provides better alternatives to the other incumbents such as EVGo, EA, etc, which are all around $0.50/kWh.
Now we just...
I received my sliders (3 boxes, 2 of them severely damaged by UPS, perhaps Ace Ventura). In any case, one of the sliders was scuffed up and the hardware was missing. It took about 3 weeks to get the hardware replacements and a small bottle of touch up paint and all was well.
Overall I am happy...
Get rid of the expensive stuff that don't make the car go, if somebody wants them make them optional.
Things that come to mind:
1. Glass roof
2. Removable bluetooth speaker
3. Powered frunk / tailgate (manual is just fine)
4. Electric door handles
5. Air suspension
6. Powered charge socket door...
Interesting thread. I had an issue the other day at an EA 350kW charger (BTC Power), were once it hit 220kW for the charge rate, it simply stopped. I could restart but it would error out again within a few seconds once it hit the 220kW again. The other stations were occupied, but I had charged...
Sliders installed, overall happy with the quality. Will have to decide if I want to cut the factory plastic panels to fill in some gaps in the front and rear.
Front gap
Rear gap
BMW iX. Probably the nicest driving car I have owned, and I have owned a lot. But after getting the Rivian R1T, it simply didn't get much use, so it was time to sell it before the used car market crashed. TIming was fortuitous. The Mini SE is the wife's DD and she loves it.
I think it is crazy that a driver cannot select the tire/wheel size from the "About" menu in the vehicle. Some of my other cars allow me to simply switch between the wheel/tire choices. For example on the iX that I recently sold, you can select from several different OEM tire/wheel combinations...
My Dukes of Hazard testing was YeeeeeHaw.
I find it a bit smoother on one of our wavy side streets. Previously you would get sea sick at speeds above 20, now it is tolerable.
