  1. Electrify America's CEO-Elect Takes Coast-To-Coast Road Trip (Using EA Chargers)

Happy to see this happening, but the chargers where the app crashed should be fixed remotely and automatically with much better monitoring. If the charger shows offline for more than 15-30 mins (pick your time), do an automatic reboot, if that doesn't work, then have a tech remote into the...
  2. Washington GC Washer Fluid Group Buy - IT'S ON

Is it too late to jump in on the fun. I would purchase 4 Gal. I am just north of Vancouver, WA (Portland) and drive up to the San Juan Islands once a month. I could pick it up in the Seattle area, but I am usually making the drive through Seattle around 5am, so that might not be an option.
  3. 12 volt frunk power outlet is back! > in my just-delivered 2023 R1T (mid 18000 VIN)

I am wondering if they had different frunk liners for the different trim levels (Adventure and Explorer). The lower Explorer didn't have the outlet, but since they discontinued that trim, they had all these frunk liners to use up. So they got installed and some of us unlucky ones didn't get the...
  4. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Even worse at airports. They have 20 or so chargers, but people are plugged in for the duration of their trip, often over a week. Wish they had chargers that could be accessed physically by multiple locations (parking spots) and then the chargers would auto unlock after a set period, be it 12...
  5. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Actually they are a thing. I looked at the Clark PUD website and got my information from there. This new site will be serviced by the Clark PUD.
  6. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Interesting. My guess that Tesla is probably big enough where they can qualify for industrial rates, or negotiate lower demand charges or supplement their chargers with powerwalls, where they can reduce the overall peak and essentially eliminate or substantially reduce demand charges. Similar to...
  7. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

There are economies of scale involved here. The incremental cost for chargers 5-12 is much lower than 1-4 as you have to pay for a location, build it out, pay for power to be brought in, etc. Even the infrastructure bill specifies that the distances should not be more than 50 miles along major...
  8. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Since Tesla just started rolling out MD's, I am hoping they will include them in all new installations going forward, but time will tell.
  9. Interesting observation on Tesla Supercharger installation vs. the others (EA, CP, EVGo, etc.)

Saw this notice on our city website today (Ridgefield, WA - just north of Vancouver, WA), a city of less than 10k people. - the sentence below came from here: https://ridgefieldwa.us/government/city-departments/public-works/public-works-map/ Ridgefield Park & Ride – On Monday, February 13...
  10. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

I am #2763 for my sliders, any ideas of when it might be. April, May or beyond?
  11. Headache rack for R1T - Protech - possibly in the works

I will let you know when they ask me for more information. What is the full length of the tailgate/tonneau cover button. It looks similar in dimensions to my release only button, but wanted to confirm.
  12. 2023.6.2 OTA Update Released to Public

No update here, but then again, I have an active service ticket about the fob not taking the previous update. Maybe I am on a blacklist.
  13. Headache rack for R1T - Protech - possibly in the works

I had been looking for a Protech style headache rack for my Rivian and there is nothing out there. Since I am only about 10 mins away from their Vancouver, WA location, I contacted them for a fitment session. Today I met with one of their designers to get measured. They said they would create...
  14. Megawatt™ Rock Sliders for R1T. Coming soon to Electruck4x4.com

Have you guys tried this with a Hi-Lift jack or have a place where it could be used out in the field?
  15. Very disappointing snow experience

Many many years ago (Yes, I am old), my motorcycle instructor told me. There are 2 reasons for accidents, you run out of traction or you run out of talent. When I knew I was getting my R1T with 22's, I order the Michelin X-Ice snow tires for less than $250 ea and had them installed on day 3 as...
  16. Windshield Wiper Auto Function not good

I agree, they are not sensitive enough, especially when it is dark outside. I find myself having to push the manual wipe button a lot at the end of the stalk during light rain.
