  1. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

    Thanks @spryde - it's a learning curve! I bookmarked
  2. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

@runwithscissors ok you're making me think here, because I noticed that EA seems pricier. I just found a Tesla to J1772 adapter on Amazon for $79.99. Does this seem right? If I don't get my adapter from Rivian by mid July (and I doubt I will), it might be cheaper to bite the bullet and buy the...
  3. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

@TexasBob wow! This will open up the possibilities for sure. Guess I'm being a bit frugal since we get one for free. I'm patient to wait for a bit. If it's months and months, I might change my mind
  4. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

@Deacon pretty soon the frunk will look like a mini power station with all the adapters! All appreciated though and I'll definitely look into. Thanks very much
  5. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

@AnninSI - outstanding to know! I almost did this since it's right off 95 but then didn't because I wasn't sure if there was more than one charger and I didn't want to wait. Bad irony here since I ended up waiting an hour at the Florence Walmart! Buceees is awesome, thank you!
  6. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

@Deacon - yep, I'm a planner and there's definitely room for improvement. One of my overnight stops has Tesla chargers, but I'm still waiting on my adapter :) I'm a rewards member at Best Western's and most of them are dog-friendly, so I almost exclusively stay at one of their chains and use...
  7. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

    @runwithscissors - not cheap, huh?
  8. First Road Trip from FL to NJ completed!

After asking lots of questions in the forum to plan and calm some minor anxiety about making my first trip alone (as a 52 yo woman with just my dog), I'm happy to share that most everything went smoothly. Had just one negative experience where 2 of 4 chargers for an Electrify America stop were...
  9. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@OutdorzyWA sigh for sure. I've had 3 service calls since taking possession end of January (although one was to have a spare tire mounted). They'll be coming again to help with the air compressor and also for the recall on the head lights. Love the vehicle, though it seems they have lots of...
  10. Navigation includes a Tesla charge stop....adapter needed?

@Treebeard I’m on my trip now and it’s going well. Charging has been pretty easy especially at RAN and Tesla. I’m thankful for the folks who chimed in here to help. The nav system really is incredible. And I love how I pick up a few more miles as a little buffer between charge stops
  11. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@naninanipoopoo there's something wrong with the housing and nozzle. It pushes into vehicle when hose collar is pushed back and I attempt to connect. Service call!
  12. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

Thanks @SwampNut but I'm confident from some of the other responses to this thread, that there's something wrong with the nozzle and casing on my compressor. The housing is loose and the nozzle pushes into the side of the vehicle when the hose is pulled back to connect.
  13. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@COdogman - sounds like a few others have had the same problem so I'm going to add it to my next service visit. Thanks for chiming in!
  14. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@usulio - thanks for chiming in. Sounds like enough others have had similar issues, so I'll add it to my next service appt...which will be the fourth time I've had them out!
  15. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@shrink - thanks. Thought it was me. I'll add it to the next service visit. Man, I've already had them out 3 times, although the one visit was to get a spare tire mounted.
  16. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

@redantpile, yes the nozzle seems to push further into the vehicle. That's why I'm thinking there maybe something wrong
  17. Anyone have issues connecting air compressor hose?

Thought I was being "thick" about using air compressor but had my husband try and he also couldn't figure it out. Maybe there's something wrong with the hookup. We both read the pages in the manual and attempted to connect one of the female ends by pulling back the end to connect to the...
  18. Navigation includes a Tesla charge stop....adapter needed?

@AnninSI - oh thanks for sharing, this is so good to know and really makes me feel so much better! I'm doing this 1200 mile trip by myself and have only had one other road trip experience, which was short in comparison, so have been a little keyed up. Thanks for putting my mind at ease!
  19. Navigation includes a Tesla charge stop....adapter needed?

@AnninSI - Bigsky indicated some additional detail and I'm wondering if you had to do this at the particular Tesla station in Columbia, SC?...... Charging at a Tesla supercharger with magic dock. The process is not exactly plug-and-charge as it is with Teslas, but it is not that complicated...
  20. Navigation includes a Tesla charge stop....adapter needed?

@bigsky - thanks for the great detail, I truly appreciate it!
