The biggest software support headache is having to deal with different software versions, especially when the software has to interacting with lots of different 'physical' and 'logical' systems. Given the challenges support has today, I think it highly unlikely that this would occur any time...
One of the nicest things about the manual tonneau cover is the storage case that holds all the panels and fits perfectly in the gear tunnel. Is there any solution for storing the panel/cover? Or am I faced with leaving the cover (with or without the panels inside) behind?
It doesn't happen...
One of my hobbies is restoring old arcade games (1950's and earlier) and trade stimulators. If you are referring to the old devices advertised to provide amazing health benefits where you drop in a penny and either rotate one of the 'doorknob' handles or lever, I can assure you it ain't...
I had one that was loose. The mobile tech came to take a look at it (among a couple of other minor things) . After both of us scratched our heads messing with it, we finally realized, when you put sufficient pressure on the tailgate, the loose end got tight. (And by sufficient pressure, it...
Tempted as I was, I just couldn't justify the long drive and traffic to get there. So, I just went to the Valvoline place in Belmont. It was actually kinda fun as they had never seen a Rivian up close. Lots of questions so I had to show them the frunk, gear tunnel, air suspension, etc...
First, glad that everone is OK. As someone who rides a motorcycle, I am terrified by all the inattentive drivers out there. Sometimes there really isn't a lot you can do.
However, seeing this and the rear-end collision I was reminded of a non-related incident. A number of years ago, we had a...
Hmm interesting, not in the 'oh man, I gotta get one and see if it works on my R1T' but rather 'I hope several people buy it and report back their experiences after six months so I can decide if I should get one'
Funny, I need to get mine done as well and have been wondering the same thing. I'm just thinking I'll take it to a local shop but let me know what you end up doing and how it goes
No way I am falling for this!
I am four hours away from the nearest service center and you want me to say 'yes, love it, would buy again'!?!?
If that ain't the quickest way to an immediate turtle mode, I don't know what is! ...momma didn't raise no fool!
(Please ignore the fact that I am...
I am referring to the mobile charger. A permanantly mounted one is problematic. It only gets plugged in when we are up there and used to charge overnight before we head back home. In total, used fewer than 50 times a year, so not really worried about the plug cycles.
My question is for $400, why not just go with the Rivian? Advantage of Rivian is single source for any issue identification and resolution. I don't need the other plug options, so any other advantages to this one?
I have a place in the mountains that has a 40Amp circuit. I purchased a portable charger from Amazon about a year ago. Worked great...for about ten months. However, the last few times I have used it, it charges for about 10 minutes then the RIvian throws a charging error...sometimes it...
It's so hard to figure. From a practical standpoint I just don't see a lot of cannibalism taking place. A truck is a truck. I got a truck because I need a truck bed. I can't imagine anyone, myself included, getting a truck if they didn't need a truck. And yet there are huge numbers of F150...
So, the R1S is 77 inches tall, the person in front of the R1S is closer to the camera, so will appear to be bigger but he/she is not as tall as the R1S, so let's say they are an even 6'. The 'R2' is closer still to the camera so would appear taller, yet it hits the person at just about waist...
The funny thing is that the example you list, i.e., gas cap not installed, does throw a fault. It can, in fact, result in check engine light and the engine not starting. I realize that the intent of the comment was to show how silly or 'over-the-top' the ramifications are of trivial issues but...
Stand market axiom "Buy rumor, sell fact" It's just the ordinary machinations of the market. Having been a pit broker in an earlier life (many, many years ago), it was always fun to see that play out in action. News released, it's not as rosy as some hoped so you hammer the heck out of the...
