Interesting that I don't see ANY November delivery dates. Earliest I saw as I went through the thread was Dec'22-Jan'23.
It would be very interesting to see what delivery estimate was showing when people start getting their 8-steps opened up!
Understand how you feel, but if they had been shipping to locations far away from service centers then the recent recall would have been a hundred times harder to resolve. I know it stinks, but it makes sense.
That's really crappy, Kurt. Damn!
I will say that when I wrecked my Mach E, the woman I dealt with at USAA told me I needed to confirm with the body shop that they would submit any estimates or supplements via some automated messaging system (I forget the name but my shop was quite familiar...
My Rivian is also insured with USAA as has every vehicle I've owned since leaving the Corps in 2022.
They were more than helpful when I had a claim on my Ford Mustang Mach E and worked with a local proshop that was not in their approved vendors list. No issues and fast return of my vehicle...
Make sure your tire pressures are correct as well. My truck was delivered with 41psi and I was getting 1.86 mi/kwh but when I inflated them to the 48 recommended pressure I am getting 2.11.
I received the wristband with my LE delivery in mid-September. I used it for a few days but the key fob is so important to have whilst PAAK isn't working so I don't wear the wristband any longer.
You wouldn't know the VIN until you choose it, and likely wouldn't know the build date until you take delivery (unless the guide tells you sooner?).
I took a shop Launch Edition, VIN is 116XX, build date is 8/22 according to the label.
Good luck on it. Would you be able to put in an alternate address somewhere closer to a service center? Relative or work office or something? I'm sure you've thought of all these tips.
To be fair, you're one person but you're likely relying on UPS or FedEx, two multi-billion dollar companies. You're not tracking the product yourself. ?♂️
