Good point. Have you read some of the posts around here with the equity talk? Good entertainment, but I think little hearts are going to be broken. My buddy included...he's keeping his truck...he was just curious on trade value.
Why because you don't like what someone received as a trade-value? You can't keep hiding your head in the sand when you read something you don't like, my friend. This is a fact...not sunshine and rainbows, I'm sorry.
Make your own judgment here, but I'll share a couple facts...
1) Many folks keep saying "an $80k truck".
2) To buy a fully loaded truck today is closer to $100k.
3) Many folks are under the impression they have 10's of thousands $$$$$ in equity.
4) Many folks are under the impression if Rivian...
Since no one is going to respond, I will... Just like me or anyone buying this, there might be small or large issues. However, the truck has a 6-year 60k warranty, which is great. If you want one today, the used market is your only choice. VIN-wise, who knows? Some folks enjoy their trucks...
I agree, I think Rivian can weather the storm as well. I don't want to hijack the OP's thread, but it makes you think. I feel bad that he is having issues. Hopefully they can fix it once and he'll be on his way.
That's a great story! Yeah, wife and I chatted about that last night. The only catch would be them taking my trade-in on delivery day. Fine and all, but they are giving me the LOW end of trade, and of course the tax credit wouldn't apply if my car was gone. Anyhow, my issues to deal with, ha.
