Thanks, I'll take a look. The problem with most of these is that they are ceiling mount options, which my structure is not strong enough to support, hence the floor based approach.
Something like this will work, but is a lot more than an engine hoist...

That one is even cheaper and since the tent with crossbars will be less than 200lbs, this will be more than enough crane for the purpose
I have a Shelter-Logic "Garage in a Box" and I am trying to figure out if there is a way that I can, somewhat easily, take the RTT off the truck and store it when I am not using it. That way it doesn't weather wear and the truck is more useable.
So, being that the "garage" is merely a few steel...
I installed mine last week and this echoes my sentiment exactly.
Love the quality and their mission statement. Looking forward to more quality built items from them for the Rivian platforms.
I should rephrase, as I am not 100% certain they are fixed, BUT from all the youtube footage I have seen, I have not seen anyone adjust them for height, so that is where my assumption comes from, but that is all that it is, an assumption. It would make a lot more sense for them to be adjustable...
Ha, that is funny, I was JUST looking into that, and I can't seem to find anything (yet).
I did notice that they use a Mini Countryman on their website to demo the Skycamp Mini on and that car is 61.5" tall. Our bed is about 53" tall, so that is about 9" less height, which is definitely...
Took the iKamper Skycamp Mini 3.0 out for its maiden voyage last weekend.
I can confirm that it will withstand 15mph winds with 25mph gusts…
I can also confirm that sleeping is quite challenging in that scenario ?
Not trying to derail the thread here, but just as a heads up on the PPF.
I have spoken to a few local XPEL recommended installers and none of them wanted to touch the $4500 deal, as it would leave them with hardly any margin. They also said that the stealth package, while claiming full...
So any update on your experience with the tent? I am hoping to purchase an RTT around Black Friday.
This one was not on my Radar, but I like the ruggedness of it, it seems better built than the iKamper, probably why that one weighs 55lbs less... but I have not seen either in person yet, so that...
You guys have me worried now!
I have a Thule T2 Pro. The truck is at the PPF place, but after it comes back I'll have to see if it fits.
Meanwhile I found this, which makes it look like it "should fit"?
All boards fit great on the pins, the slot in the boards is the same. It is the thickness of the boards that is the issue. The MKII boards are thinner than the Xtreme boards, which is why maxtrax sells 2 different types of pins. The Rivian mounts come with pins for the Xtreme boards, meaning...
Just as an FYI, so you guys don't have the same issue I have - The Rivian Maxtrax mounts are for the Maxtrax Xtreme boards, which is what the Rivian boards are. I still had a set of Maxtrax MKII's, and they are ~.25" thinner than the Xtremes, so they are loose on the pins.
Solutions:
- You...
So, I have sent back the Magbak mount as over time it was pulling back from the screen making it a hassle to get the phone to grab on to it. I tried the Mouse, Rebel and even the MagBak case, and none of them worked satisfactory. And by that I mean, I want to get in the car, move my phone to the...
I just got off the phone with Accutint in Shoreline.
They were not really interested to honor the XPEL Rivian deal.
Turns out XPEL does not reimburse them for the difference between what they normally charge and the $4500 that Rivian is offering, so that explains why a lot of shops are not...
I contacted MagBak about people using the Tesla version and whether they'll be making a Rivian specific one and this was their reply:
"Thanks for reaching out! Our design team is in the process of testing the Tesla Charger on the Rivian screen. We have had some customers come in after...
Hi all!
I received my R1T on Tuesday 9/20 and I love it.
Ordered on 12/21/21, so almost 9 months to the day.
I am waiting on some accessories to come in (all weather mats, maxtraxx mounts, first aid kit, crossbars and, eventually, the camp kitchen).
I am also trying to make a decision on an...
