I am talking about inductive charging as you drive. You would be able to set your vehicle to automatically start charging when you get to a certain percentage. It will also start charging if it gets to low or start charging based on your final destination. This would prevent heavy charger use at...
That is an interesting point. The issue is that if you are a new driver no matter with FSD/ADAS you get in a vehcile with little "real world driving experience" people will learn bad habits right out of the gate.
I think there is a happy medium where you can utilize today's technology with real...
I was expecting people to say "you can say Siri or Alexa now" (said in a sarcastic voice). Well, I want to be able to see the message count popup on my driver screen, I want to be able to push a button to listen to the message and respond.
I know I will get flamed for this but I a think FDS (ADAS) while a cool idea, I don't like the idea of trusting a computer and electronics to drive my car for me. I have had my license since 1980 and when I was taking drivers training, the instructor said "Do not ever take your eyes off the road...
TLDR...I did read a lot of your post.
I got an EV knowing well and good that charging in public would take time. We have had out Gen1 for 2 years and the last time I charged in public was 18 months ago. I charge at home and at work....which is 145 miles 1 way.
We also hae a Rav4 Prime (Plug-in...
Not the latest update, but the one prior I had an issue that it wasn't refreshing and it gave me something like "not connected". I logged out and went back in and it still didn't show anything. The next morning when I go in the truck, it was all back to normal.
Try doing a soft and a hard reset.
The problem with Spotify is the bit rate is lower and compressed. I use Spotify for only PODCASTS and Apple Music for music. Apple's DOLBY ATMOS on some albums is AMAZING
I had the same issue happen when I updated the software. It drove me crazy....I couldn't find my music I was listening too.
I signed out and when Itried to sign back in, the "log in screen" popped up and then disappeared. I was almost readyto put in a service request but waited a few hours...
I got the 12v battery issue about a year ago on the way to work. I pulled over (at 3:30am) and called Rivian and was surprised they answered. Went through the hard reset, soft reset and it didn't fix it. The support person assured me that I can make it to work (about 80 miles away) with no...
I agree....they need more service centers or they need to invest in trade school training and promote EV repair shops and not just Rivian SC.....make them "Rivian Certified Repair Centers" (RCRC for short...LOL).
If they give you a laonerR1T, it wouldn't be to bad. When they had Lapid for 3...
We have one.....of all the designs from Rivian, this is the worse. THe cable you pull down to pull it out is cheap and it broke after we had it for a few month. They did replace it though.
Hope you sell it.
We had the tailgate issue back in December. The mobile guy (God Bless him....Kevin) came out on Jan. 3rd with pouring rain and replaced the sensor. He said that it is a known issue. Our R1T (aka "Lapis") will be celebrating her 2nd birthday on May 3rd. Other than the tailgate and the 12v battery...
That is an excellent design for sure. Rivian should buy the idea from you and put that in their website shop.
I have a Gen1 R1T and I have no issue charging my iPhone 14 Pro on the console. My wife has the iPhone 13 Pro Max and she does have an issue sometimes. We have the USB cable plugged in...
What some people don't realize is when you put down the "drink holder" in the back seat of the R1T, you can reach through it and into the gear tunnel. Perfect place to put an ice chest with drinks and snacks on long road trips.
Now they just have to figure out how to get the crap (literally) off the streets.
I work in the bay and use to live in the area. I wouldn't park my R1T (or any of my cars) anywhere near downtown unless you are wanting it broke into.
Even the "secure" parkin structures aren't secure. The nice...
