With as clever as Rivian is, I can see them adding the wiper and then adding a locking mechanism so that when the window is down, it deactivates the ability to use the wiper. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to build/program.

Its just a thing. We have a Silver and Black RAV4 Prime and I named it "Millenium Falcon". Our R1T is named LAPIS (the wife named it), because LAPIS is a blue stone and our R1T is blue. Naming the vehicle kinda' gives the vehicle its own personality. It is better than "Bob's Truck"

The NFC is probably locked or it has some special encryption that only Rivian can access. I use to play with NFC tags and even though I could read the data, I couldn't change it. Try scanning the back page of your passport....you will see the information, but you can't do anything with it.

We had a 12v battery issue about a year ago and they replaced it....so, I am good for a couple of years.

Its only expensive when you don't need to charge.....when you do.....that is cheap. I haven't charged at a public charger since Nov. 2023, only charge at home and work.
