Think Iām a week away. crossing fingers.
July ā20 reservation.
R1S, LE, LG, 22 brights, BM.
VIN assigned, Sheās here in Austin and just waiting for QCI.
So if you see me, honk and wave. Always down to stop at the nearest bar for a glass of something delicious and brown.
Absolutely gorgeous combo.
That first visit, I did see it. I actually texted my Spicewood friend who ordered before me, but is waiting on OC R1S, that I saw that one and thought the interior was worth waiting for.
For my fellow central Texans:
I visited the Austin service Center right after it opened. Random stop by to scope it out - didnāt call ahead.
I was greeted super friendly, courteous and enthusiastically.
Michael, who I met sat and chatted with me for a good bit, shared some insights and walked...
Not specific preparations for Hurricanes, but I have a Dometic, CFX3 75Dz that I have used on 4 separate occasions to save food from:
1-refrigerator compressor failure,
1-freezer compressor failure,
1-48 hour power outage
and the crazy Texas polar vortex a couple
years back that left us...
Appreciate the detailed pics and passing along some specifics to look for on delivery.
Glad you got yours!
Will definitely keep these pics in mind when my number comes up!
That would drive me bonkers if it was in my line of sight.
That being said, I've had tiny chips a few times, directly in my line of sight - and after a month or so, they became "invisible" - 90% of the time.
But man, that 10% when I'd focus on it....
I think I'd ask them to replace, if it...
Right on, thanks for the auick response.
Iāve personally had mixed luck with 3m tape. Specially on natural materials like leather/wood.
I think youāre onto something with the idea of just leaving it in place in the case of sale.
Thanks again for the info and passing along experience.
Iām...
This looks awesome. I know itās an old thread - but curious how the phone mount is attached to the wood.
Is it glue/adhesive/3m?
Love the solution and looks awesome there - very concerned about damage to the finished wood.
Thanks for sharing this whole set of accessories. Super...
They let me walk into the waiting area, and over to the "fenced cage" of cars.
They asked for no pictures and to be courteous that they were other people's cars so no touching and no getting in. But I took some time to look around, see the colors from different angles. They really do change a...
I posted in a new thread, but just saw this.
The service center is open, on North Lamar, right before you hit 183. Hidden behind a little shopping center.
2 R1Ss, 10 or so R1Ts, varying colors. They were super nice and inviting there.

They had an R1S - Launch Green, BM, 20" Dark ATs inside - which is my first choice of spec - and though obviously partial to it; it looked spectacular.
There was a El Cap R1T, with Ocean Coast and 22" Brights that really looked slick as well.
Just wanted to pass along to other folks here in Austin, that I just stopped by the service center on North Lamar Blvd.
It's officially open! They were about to do a delivery - which they are allowing people to accept delivery at the service center.
They asked me not to post any pictures, so...
Subjective opinion :
Love my Dometic CFX3 75 Dual Zone. Heavy as b@llz though when loaded.
No experience with the others.
A little bit of a hum when the compressor kicks and runs, but nothing distracting, just noticeable when it's quiet. Temps are great, efficiency and ability to hold temp...
I use a Dometic CFX3, and itās great. Heavy once loaded, but a great dual zone option.
Definitely go 12V. Itās much more efficient. The nice thing anout the dometic is it has 2 ports, and can run off either. So if you need to bring it in, you can run off regular 110 outlet - or for our R1Sās...
Youāre givin them big heads. literally!!
deservedly so. I actuslly found these forums through them. Great place to start a habitā¦
They absolutely deserve some kudos for the dedication and helping me get my weekly fix.
Keep up the good work Kyle, Jim and Skylar. Your efforts donāt go unnoticed...
I have a Dometic CFX3 - I run it in the back of my RRS on hunts and on beach trips. It runs the whole way down and all day in the back - off a Jackery 500 plugged into the DC outlet.
( as a side note, my experience has been 24-36 hour run time on the Jackery alone running one side freezer and...
