While we didn't give up our M3, the R1T has replaced it as the vehicle to drive. The build quality for the first production build is pretty high. There are some gap and fit issues, but only if one is really interested in looking for them. We have only had a few minor issues: the passenger sun...
I find the Lowest suspension setting to be not great. I almost wish Rivian would make the Lowest and Highest suspension settings require a special acknowledgement to use them.
Generally, I ride in soft and Standard for overall ride quality on the highway and surface streets. On the twisty...
FWIW, I've been commuting in Conserve mode (only brief stints in All-Purpose) to see if there is a benefit. Previously, I was at 2.04 mi/kWh primarily in All-Purpose mode. In Conserve, I have averaged 2.58 mi/kWh over the same route. I'm on the 20" wheels. At 70% daily charge, I get 213...
Thanks for your response. I have set my home and work locations, so maybe those locations use the schedule (?). I have tested the schedule a couple of times at home and work. In both of those locations, the vehicle reports waiting for schedule to charge. I'll try finding a random location...
We've done that for our M3 since it has location-aware charging (i.e. charges on a schedule at home, but charges on detection when away from home). I haven't messed with the scheduling in the R1T yet. Having the scheduling done on the truck can be problematic for charging in the wild (work...
Has anyone experienced a time-of-use charging error? When I set my EVSE to TOU and plug the truck in, it faults after a couple of minutes. Turn off TOU, unplug/plug in the truck, all is well. Seems like a bug in the charger state transition to me...
The truck did sag slightly when I let the load settle on the bed, but before I got around to getting the forklift away and parked, the truck looked level. It didn't seem to do any extra adjusting after starting it and driving away.
We needed to move a flammables cabinet and the truck was just sitting there...so we loaded it up. It fits easily and the forklift had no trouble setting the pallet inside the bed.
Having a locked car while washing it is not really inconvenient. Turning off Bluetooth is not practical. I just went with the annoyance of closing the port over and over and left the truck on. What happens when some day it goes to a commercial wash? I guess I'll wait until there is an option...
