Normally I’d wait but I sold my car two weeks ago. I got impatient and called - still no updates or movement. Asked what was on the lot at my local SC. They had a large battery already there (vs my original standard+) and those don’t have the sticker hold.
Switched my order and the purchase...
Same boat. Ordered a Standard+ R1T 2/19 and purchase steps are not open. In Week 3 of the 5 week window. They keep quoting the missing updated EPA stickers. In hindsight, Large battery might've moved sooner. Wish I knew that when I made the deposit.
My guide has been nice but the interactions are brief and IMO, they miss the opportunity to really build loyalty. Some things I have had to learn to accept;
pre-order I couldn’t get a solid quote on trade in - had to go to CS
finance questions are a Chase call center runaround
deposit was/is...
same, ordered 2/19 and assigned a RN031. Curious thing is I spec'd a Standard+ battery but the VIN code shows it as a Large. Still waiting on it to move to deliver...
Just timestamping here that they're still quoting Mahwah as the pick up location for SE PA (10 mi closer than Gaithersburg for my zip). Asked about Trenton and it wasn't on the list as an option.
Large battery may work in your favor. My guide said yesterday Standard configs are on delivery hold until they get an updated federal certificate. could be any day or another 3-5 weeks.
I think battery type matters. I ordered a Standard+ config on 2/20 and my guide told me it’s built but they can’t ship until they get some updated federal certification sticker(?) - may be any day or another 3-4 weeks. Large or Max batteries may ship sooner.
nice! I couldn't decide between Large or Standard+ on the battery and was curious if that impacted delivery times but I got a VIN assigned - not sure if that's automatic or a sign things are moving.
I made a deposit for a R1T on Tuesday myself and first post here!
For me (Phila zip) it said 1-6 weeks in the shop, updated to 3-5 on the order account. My config incl a Dual Performance motor & Standard+ battery.
Let's see who gets theirs first!
