I really want orange. I think that orange accent color on the R3X would look great on the R2. If not orange, I'd like them to bring back compass yellow. A matte-wrap yellow looks fantastic.
My understanding is that Tesla will also be plug-and-charge for Rivian owners. So, it looks like EA is the only major network that WON"T have it for us. Having said that, EA has always worked well for me in VA. I've never had to use the app -- just swipe my credit card and start charging...
This is super cool and exactly what I'd like for my truck. However, I'm really not confident in my ability to remove those panels without cracking the plastic or screwing up the trim. Anyone think that I could get the service center or mobile service to install this for me?
I know I should...
I don't know about keycards, but I bought a used wristband key for my R1T and when it stopped working they replaced it under warranty no questions asked.
I'd be surprised if it was any different for the keycards.
My guess is no on any existing RAN charger. Every Rivian up through the R2 will be able to charge at both NACS and CCS, so I don't think it is worth it for Rivan to change any of the existing chargers.
New ones may, but with NACS they may pull back on installing new RAN chargers since they now...
I hope they start taking preorders soon after the announcement. If it is a small SUV with a similar cool look as my truck, I want to sign up as soon as possible.
For those of us without running boards, what plastic piece needs to be cut or removed? Can you post a picture? Is this the plastic at the bottom of the truck that runs all along the sides?
I don't like leaving it plugged in because the charger is installed inside the garage but I park the truck outside. I don't like leaving the garage door open all night if I can avoid it. I do it from time-to-time when it needs a long charge, but typically let it charge for two to three hours...
I'm one of those people who like to charge (almost) daily to 70%. Every evening, I go out to unplug my car and it bugs me that I have to unlock it, close the charge port door, and re-lock it each night. Am I missing something? Is there some way to close the charge port door while the truck is...
I’m 6’3” and I use a step stool for the roof of my R1T. I don’t like opening the door because I’m sure I’ll end up getting the interior either wet or full of sudds.
I have been babying mine, but I'm not any longer. My concern is that it may work fine for the next three and a half years or so and then fail outside of my coverage window.
The bottom line is that I thought Rivian said that the current design is fundamentally flawed and that the new version...
Any word on if they are going to replace ALL of the existing powered tonneau covers? I'm more concerned about the support article that seems to indicate they will only replace them if they are broken.
Note that you need the two letter code before the number to tell which year it was produced to get the full picture.
Once you have that, as others have said, you can't tell exactly, but you can roughly estimate based on when similar VINs were produced.
I'm glad you pointed this out -- I'm going to start using mine again and stop worrying about it breaking.
Am I misremembering that Rivian asked us to stop using them until the redesign was done? I've kept mine closed and untouched for close to a year now because I thought the guidance was to...
There was a non-safety recall for the half-shaft that was causing the suspension noise that a lot of us have found. I'm not sure exactly what they fixed, but it is much quieter now. In my case it was not just pulling out of the driveway in the morning, but almost every time the truck started...
I just got my truck back from Gaithersburg on 10/1. Overall, my experience is about the same as the Richmond service center except that it is a LOT closer to home from Northern Virginia. Here are my takeaways:
Initial communication was good. They called and texted before the appointment and...
