I don't have any fancy pictures, but I'll give a universal thumbs down for all three of the loaners I've received from Rivian. So far I've received:
Mazda 3
Chrysler300
A Hyundai Kona (gas powered)
I'm not sure why, but I've just got terrible luck with the Enterprise lottery in getting nice...
I think that the range for the 2022 and 2023 R1T with 21" wheels should be the same. It was 314 when the truck was first delivered, but the software update that bumped it up to 328 was for both model years.
.
For those that don't get it, let me explain. It's meant to be a bit of a tongue in cheek jab at Tesla. The Tesla Model S and X used to have a naming convention like this:
Model S P100D. Where the name meant...
P: Performance
100: 100kwh battery
D: Dual Motor
So, my "performance" Rivian...
I posted this to Reddit, but wanted to get opinions here as well. My wife says “I’m glad you think it is cool, but no one is going to get it.” Is she right?
Although I think that your strategy is probably the best way to go, another option is to put it into shipping mode which should be able to preserve the charge for that long without any issues.
You could also try calling Rivian support and see if they have a recommendation. I'm curious what...
I'm not sure what the problem is, but I can tell you that I've experienced the same thing. I've managed to get it working correctly a couple of times, but each time is a chore of resetting and repairing the speaker.
That's not my experience. I got one off of this forum recently, and didn't need to get any permission or go to a service center. As a matter of fact, I asked my guide first, and he said they would not do it and I did it anyway.
To get mine activated, I had to call the 1-800 number and give...
Great, glad to hear it. I've got an appointment scheduled there for September, so it looks like they're already booked out for the next few months.
I bet Richmond Service Center is happy to get some relief from the DC area Rivians that need service.
I think the answer is that Rivian does something unusual with the certificates that they use to authenticate a charging session. I don't remember the details, but I know Out Of Spec had a video recently saying that Rivian was the only manufacturer that did their own thing with charging...
I posted this in another thread about this issue, but thought I'd provide an update here as well...
I got an answer from Rivian today. They had a couple of things to say of interest:

I got an answer from Rivian today. They had a couple of things to say of interest:
The recommended (temporary) fix is to lower the amperage. They recommended taking it all the way down to 32 amps, but I'm running just fine at 40, so I'll probably keep it there.
The more interesting feedback...
First of all, thanks for all of the help on this. It's too bad that there are a handful of us that have this problem, but it is good to have an active community that can help troubleshoot these issues. Here's some feedback on some of your specific questions / statements:
The public charger...
Before I get started on describing the problem I'm having, I want to say that I've already got a ticket in with Rivian and I'm waiting to hear back. I just want to see if anyone has had a similar experience and if they can help me troubleshoot the issue.
For the past week or so (I'm not sure...
