Has anyone been able to consistently use the camp speaker away from the truck, as a simple Bluetooth speaker? I did it once but like so many of the features on my R1T, it hasn’t worked since. It’s fully charged and turned on but never links with my iPhone. Any idea why? Thanks!

I use mine as a stand alone Bluetooth speaker frequently. Have you done the hard reset as documented in the manual? I would start there.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but I can tell you that I've experienced the same thing. I've managed to get it working correctly a couple of times, but each time is a chore of resetting and repairing the speaker.

im in the same boat. will not connect even though its already been paired before. i have to re-pair each time. sometimes the pairing doesn't even enable on the speaker. ive done hardware and factory reset multiple times. in any case, going to open a service ticket. beyod frustrated now.

My experience with the Camp Speaker is also less that stellar. Mine is very finicky about pairing. I have found that it is basically five pounds of junk that is now permanently stored in the closet in the downstairs bedroom.

I haven't had a use for mine yet but I'm going to test it before my service appointment tomorrow. Use or not, it should work.

My camp speaker unlatched when I first got the truck & paired. Since the OTA updates, I do not know which one, it doesn’t unlatch & can not get it out.

I do not want to go to a SC just to get the thing to unlatch.

I use mine at the campsite and in the camper quite a bit. It’s much better to listen to music or watch a movie through it than it is to listen to those tin speakers on the outside of the RV or in the ceiling of the RV.

I’m not sure why, but it does need to be repaired every other trip or so. Once paired successfully, it works like a dream all weekend.

It takes a bit patience, as pairing can fail a couple of times before success. A bit finicky.

Similar experience. I have not been able to play off the Rivian.
I've only been able to play via Bluetooth off my phone.
And this is after doing a fair amount of voodoo pairing rituals to get it to work every time.

+1. Frequently have to forget and re-pair it multiple times for Android phone. It doesn't charge in the dock reliably unless I wake it up. It's usually at 10% or less when I want to use it.
Hopefully they'll give us a firmware update to make it work as well as any cheap speaker on the market, although I'm sure this is super low priority on their to-do list.
