I'm being pedantic, but you won't get any regen from either vehicle in that scenario -- the power would have no place to go :) you need to consume some charge before you get regen back, so it's friction-only until then. This is from experience with various Tesla models -- cars with built-in...

I’ve seen this reported before. It ended up returning; the guide could see the VIN all along.

Interesting! It sounds like you're in the same place as the March/April and April/May delivery window R1S orders that have guides assigned -- that group is just awaiting production of the vehicles, and if past trends hold (R1T delivery pattern), they're at the front of the line. Those groups...

I received one yesterday (El Segundo) -- I figured it's because I signed up for test drives of both vehicles instead of just R1S.
