Yes, you are right that it will be a difficult road to actual production.

However, the engineering of crash protection has made great strides and well engineered small vehicles have been shown to have better crash protection than the old school behemoths legacy auto is selling today...
Instead of a huge front hood, they have a larger more useful bed.
They have a well engineered front crumple zone.
