Yes. Had they refreshed last year I probably would’ve bought one for myself and hand me downed my 2018 Model 3 to my daughter. Instead, bought her a Bolt that got the new battery pack and held on to the 3 - when my sons can drive in 2 years I’ll rethink what I get. Maybe a used i4 or Taycan.
The rear end is the part I dislike the most. And overall it’s just too bubbly for me. But I also am not a fan of the design language ford is doing on any of their cars outside of full size trucks. I did like the interior when I test drove.
My Tesla is a 2018 and continues to receive significant upgrades and have been far more impressive than Rivians for Gen1. And they can’t even expand access for Driver+ whatsoever? It’s abysmal. LMAO with the futile audio updates. The sounds sucks and always will.
2025.26.01 did not fix the issue for us. Took me a bit to try logging in again d/t wife’s car. Opened another ticket. Did an infotainment reset and no help.
My biggest problem is the rear end that I find hideous. This perspective is ok. I also think the front bumper of my 2018 model 3 is a touch ugly. The R1S in my garage is the best looking of all of these.
I wish Rivian would not give up on refining and adding functionality to Gen1 ADAS. The driver+ implementation sucks ass, even in major interstates with the frequent and sudden blaring alarms to take over because there’s no road data or whatever. Plus, no basic auto steering on 4 lane highways...
2+ years in on our R1S (2023) and finally getting around to asking if this is normal or a bug. When streaming via Bluetooth from my iPhone, I can see the playlist info as shown in the video but when selecting a new or buffet song on screen, nothing happens. Is this normal? I noticed if I press...
Rivian scheduled me for mobile service this Wednesday. It looks like they want to see the problem first hand. I encourage you to file a ticket about this so they know there are others with the same problem.
There’s also some campaign to tighten bolts they are addressing in the same visit.
