Pardon my ignorance but what’s the benefit of getting the VIN so early? I know that when I called my insurance company they asked a VIN to help quote but other than that I’m curious if there is anything else it might help with.

No it wasn’t. It was obviously 888 but none of the rest of the digits were the same. On my iPhone it just came up as TOLL FREE CALL without showing the actual number. (I had to check the call log after to see the number which was different from the CS number you listed)

During my brief test drive yesterday we had the windows up and were on the highway for a short stint. I didn't notice much wind noise but the radio was also on which could have masked it.
I just had a test drive in Seattle and had the same experience. The backup camera looked fine but the front camera was grainy. The Rivian guy mentioned that updates were coming out weekly and improving these things so I would guess the front will be clear before widespread deliveries occur.
