This was all covered in another thread. It is more common than it should be. We all should just assume that this is a possibility whenever there is one of these updates.
We should probably just have one thread whenever a new update comes back to keep things easier to find and inform others.
I hear you, and I can relate. It is obvious your confidence in the vehicle is shaken. As an outsider looking in, I would be more concerned if this was a chronic problem, and reported across many other Rivians.
Personally, before I would dump the vehicle, unless Rivian is willing to buy it back...
I could see a use for offroading or maneuvering in tight quarters and have additional cameras you would like to interface with. I definitely would use an extra camera for trailing towing.
I just read through this saga and can feel the pain. Hopefully they got it all fixed finally for you. Honestly, you shouldn't have had to go through even 1/10th of what you did. It is great that they finally took care of it, but this is more of a glass-half-empty story to me. There were just way...
I think I am calling it a day on noise reduction, at least for the driver's side. I fiddled around with a few other things, and tweaked what I already installed a bit. I made a run this evening and at 80 mph I was 61-63 db , with a headwind of 10 mph, minimum gusting to 16. So airspeed of at...
I was really entertaining the thought of a new quad. My wife stopped complaining about my R1T encroaching in her parking area and I thought I could swap it out without her noticing for a new one since I run it through my business anyway. I'd just have to swap the current wheels and tires over...
I had to go way beyond what I saw anyone else do. I chronicled most of it here.

Another quick update. Today was drive it like I stole it day. I was in sport mode all day long. I had the AC on all day between 73-75 for every drive. Road temps were in the 90's or higher.
A lot of my driving was with strong winds from all directions. First part of my longest drive they were...
I've continued to go down the black hole of noise reduction. I've made more progress. I am also including a photo of when I was coming back and had a headwind that was at least 20 mph, frequently gusting to about 35-40 mph. After that, there is a video showing my Apple Watch indicating the sound...
For reference, I have a 2023 Gen 1 R1T quad motor. I bought it used with 6k miles so it was practically new.
Project 1 - I think this combined with Rivian's app to charge appropriately, would help. To minimize degradation is pretty easy for the batteries in anything but the base version. Keep...
This is clearly one of the best, if not the best, update I've received to date. When I bought my truck it was behind about 4 updates last October. So I had the unique experience of quickly (over about a 4-6 weeks), living through 5 updates as by the time I was almost caught up a new dropped...
Nothing serious. I did some mild trails out around some lakes in my area. They worked pretty well and could move a ton of dirt if you needed to. I probably shouldn't have been playing with Rally mode so much. They didn't do mud too badly either. I did hate having to clean the truck up so much...
