This is the only abnormal thing you have described, I think. The rest seems like a design choice made by Rivian--the door does not auto-close after you unplug. It does once you start to drive, though. However, I'm almost certain that touching the "button" should close it if you just finished...
This is the answer. Yes, it's not that the Rivian isn't as good at charging on a 48A wall connector, it's the number of miles being added based on consumption rates.
Don't expect the same charging speed as you're used to with the Tesla. I also had an existing HPWC on a 60A circuit before I got a Rivian and my Gen 1 R1T adds only about half as much range in a given time as my '23 MYP.
This hadn't occurred to me before, but looking at those pictures, I'm surprised that Rivian didn't figure out a way to incorporate the camp speaker into the kitchen, like a charging slot or a place to hang it.
The first time I test-drove an R1T, I didn't know about the yellow badging and the guide didn't tell me that I was driving a Quad. From then on, even if the difference is entirely in my head, I felt like I would not be happy with a Dual.
I mean, my wife keeps telling me that there's nothing...
It would be interesting to see an actual survey of R1T owners regarding their powered tonneau cover experience. In particular, I would want to see a breakdown of model year, delivery date, whether the cover was preinstalled, whether the truck is primarily garaged indoors, frequency of...
Update for anyone interested: mobile service came out, did the RiDE menu window calibration, problem fixed. This issue seems to be tied to the express up/down not working properly and that now seems fine too.
Now my iOS app only shows the tonneau cover as open--because I don't have one yet.
