Picked up my R1S on Monday in Richmond VA and drove it to Raleigh NC.
I got all wrapped around the axle on the charger install, going back and forth on wire gauge, conduit size etc…
in the end I installed a 90A sub panel...
i think the u-haul car trailer has a max load of 5300 lbs… I’m not sure a u-haul truck has the guts or the brakes to haul an R1 even if the trailer had the capacity.
My '22 Tahoe ($73k) was delivered without working heated steering wheel and parking sensors (COVID chip shortage) has some minor panel gap issues (dealership says its normal), poor paint coverage in some of the door jam areas, a heat shield rattle at highway speeds that the dealership refuses to...
They just told me my R1S "is currently at the plant in Normal, and is expected to arrive in Richmond on, or around the 20th"

I see lots of 19XXX and 20XXX, does this mean my R1S was manufactured a while ago, or do those first 2 numbers mean something?
I am hoping this isn't a problem...
Have you found that there is really a 50 mile range hit for the 20” vs 21” wheels? Is it just the extra rolling resistance of the more aggressive tread? Can you get the range back on 20’s by getting different tires?

ok, so I’m dumping the PPF, changing to 20’s (I like the beefier rubber look anyway) and keeping the charger.
I’m undecided on the underbody protection… are people still tearing up their underbody going through water? Will the underbody protection...
i love the ocean coast, but i had a light interior in my Accord and with my 4 kids it was a nightmare to keep clean... the black interior in my tahoe seems to hide the kid dirt a bit better... havn't had issues with sunscreen with it.
