  1. I'm in a conundrum

If you can wait a little while longer...stick with your config, Canyon Red is an impressive color, and while pretty much every color is a good one, that red is something special. If we hadn't gone blue red was our #2. I think aftermarket solutions for a cover will mature as more trucks are...
  2. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

We only tap Conserve as a drive mode on long trips, so I would be surprised if more than 1400-1600 miles on our truck were driven in conserve so far. Agreed on the extensive testing bit, the type of driving we do is fairly tame, and have only used it for moving furniture/home depot runs...
  3. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

Good point! That’s a fair concern, and one I hadn’t considered. Out of warranty repair for this sounds pricey. Our truck was offline in the app January 30th, on the 31st it came back online and the Service Center charged it to 100%. The battery seemed to behave normally, and accepted 20...
  4. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

Due to the tire/engine wear that conserve will cause over time I typically drive in All-purpose, since most of our daily driving is under 100 mile RT. Related to conserve mode, on our long road trip in early December we used conserve mode a reasonable amount, a pure shot in the dark estimate...
  5. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

I'm glad you asked, the Denver service center called to let me know they need to replace the front-drive unit due to that coolant leak. According to their diagnostics the coolant is leaking from the power inverter that is mated to the front-drive unit (which houses the motors). Since the...
  6. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

Thanks, and I think the issues up until this week have been minor, especially considering how few of these Rivian has built up to now. I am still impressed with the truck and wouldn't change my decision in any way. We can't wait to get it back soon.
  7. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

@EV Sportline Placed an order last night; looking forward to adding running boards to the truck when they arrive!
  8. Review: 5000 miles, 3ish months later

A quick intro Consider this a novice review by someone who doesn't consistently write product reviews. I wanted to contribute to the forum a bit since I've been largely lurking for about a year now. Background on me: I come from owning a 1999 TJ and 2016 JK before owning an R1T. I grew up in...
  9. Tesla to j1772 adapter recommendations?

Haha, that’s exactly where we keep ours. It’s also small enough to fit neatly in the charging cable bag. @WSea good to know! When I was shopping the prices on these two were Identical and had heard of Lectron before so they got my $. If this one fails for any reason I will check out the Keruida.
  10. Tesla to j1772 adapter recommendations?

Funny you ask, we’re currently road tripping from Colorado to Texas and back. Our R1T is actively charging in a driveway using this Tesla to J1772 We’ve only used it at level 1 speeds so far, but it does work! One thing to note when using this adapter, or at least the one we received. When...
  11. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

Thanks for posting these images! The running boards look great. You mentioned before that the running boards are within the existing aero profile of the truck. Do you have any data to share regarding impact to range?
  12. New product release! Bed Mats for Rivian R1T (PVC / Rubber) - bring on the gear and cargo, save the scratches!

I know others on the forum have measured and cut the bed mat from off-the-shelf rubber mats, it’s nice to see one out there that is ready to go. I look forward to putting this in the bed of the truck when we get it! Thanks for offering a custom fit solution at a reasonable price.
  13. ⚠️ Rivian Recall: insufficiently torqued front upper control arm & steering knuckle fastener [official torque value = 90 lb-ft / 122 Nm]

To anyone wondering about the Denver SC: they don’t require an appointment. Just pulled up, and was done in 10-15 minutes, didn’t need to get out of the truck. It’s worth getting this looked at if you’re in the area.
