It might not “make sense” financially, but that’s how leases work. If the number went the other way and they buyout was below market value, then they couldn’t ask you for more $$ to meet in the middle

Why would anyone buy an initial R2 unless there are amazing lease deals. Rivian is "shooting themselves in the foot" by essentially announcing fast-tracked planned obsolesce (and depreciation). Are their enough people that want the R2 so badly that they don't necessarily care about the hardware...

Adapter is fine. Rivian won't advise you because they don't sell one and won't officially advise you to buy any third party product. It's the same with everyone who purchased Rivian's having previously owned a Tesla and a Tesla Wall Charger. Recommend A2Z adapter (they call it "Stellar Plug")...

Known (to me at least since Feb 2023) software issue. When you are in the vehicle, make sure the rear floor heat is on …that will cause the software to use hot air all around…..

You request a lease buyout from Chase, pay the amount owed and then sell to your buyer (written bill of sale is recommended). Any taxes/fees will vary by state as will the time it takes to get the Title in hand that you can then transfer to your Buyer.
