My understanding of the *original* tow mode implementation was that the vehicle essentially declared your range to be half of non-towing. And the ability to “learn” was not implemented until many months after the first vehicles shipped— many months. There were many early reviews of towing...

With a trailer like mine, this very small range hit makes a whole lot more sense than just chopping it in half like the...
I agree, and was going to add almost the exact same thing. The folks at the Mpls. SC have been nothing but wonderfully competent at delivering what they should.
If you're in the MSP area, head over to the Clubs section and join "Paul Bunion's Garage." There's a potential meet-up on 4/13 in the works.

I think with the current lack of interest, the Franconia meet-up should be cancelled, but let's give it a few more days. I posted on the main forum for newbies to join this group. Let's see if we can get a few more interested.
You gotta be kidding. You guys are bummed out that you’re only getting 150kw somewhere? I’d consider that to be screaming fast with all of the 6.6, 11, 70kw chargers I had to use on a recent trip from MSP to KC recently. 150 would be nirvana.
Awesomeness, I agree. It is also Interesting that the Dakotas only have RAN points on the interstates, but MN actually gets some truly, “in the wilderness.” I’m all for it.
@ThumprMN we need to generate a tad more interest here…I’m not sure other members see any notifications when there’s new discussion in the “club.”
I’m using Rivian’s supplied adapter. 80% of rated would give me 16 amps, hence my question. Actually, the best throughput I’ve had is like 12.4, on a legit 20 amp circuit end to end.
