OP: Driving 60 mph is better than 70 mph, and 50 mph is better than 60 mph, in terms of range. Precondition the battery and it gets better still. Use Conserve mode and it gets better still. Accelerate slowly and you’ll see a little more improvement. Put brake regen on high. Longer trips will...
Excellent, and not surprising that your settings are a sine wave, which is what I always end up with in some form or another, on any system I’m tweaking.
I’ve had my R1S for about three months, and have made numerous trips from MSP area to my cabin in northern WI. For now, I’m charging up north on a wall outlet, but— it’s a 20 amp outlet, a GFI actually, and a 20 amp rated one at that…which I wired with 12/2. And of course it’s on a 20 amp...
@ThumprMN having only had my R1S for a couple months, I’ve never charged anywhere but home. So, anywhere will be a new experience for me. Prefer north side of metro though.

I was hauling stuff in the vehicle, including the passenger seat, and I didn’t want it dinging or beeping at me til kingdom come. And I knew since I’d only had the car for three days, that if it did that it would take me a week to figure out how to shut the damn thing off.
Not exactly the same I don’t think. Vampire drain is when everything is off, and you’re losing a tiny bit of juice each day. In my case, it was the seatbelt being fastened, and I lost almost 20% in one day. Different, and vastly worse.
That would suck. Why not just stream from the phone then? True satellite is a godsend when driving across the plains states. I got all excited for a moment there.
