  1. Need tires, decision paralysis.

No noise complaints. I never thought the Pirellis were particularly quiet or noisy and the KO3s feel in the same class there. My worn Pirellis were definitely getting loud and especially around 40mph would emit a slightly annoying drone. Edit: I would like to add one thing. I didn't think about...
  2. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Ok initial micro-impression with a couple days of use and some highway driving to LA. On all but the roughest roads they are super smooth still (experimented with Moderate and Soft suspension settings). Still at 55psi. I’m expecting some range loss but my highway average was about 2.12 which...
  3. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Just wanted to update the thread. In the end I chose the KO3 in the stock 20” size. I bought them from Americas Tire and had them installed this morning (Fullerton, CA location). They did a great job, were versed in the Rivian procedures and had everything mounted and balanced quickly. I had...
  4. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I still need to call, it’s sadly not a frivolous expense either so I’m trying to budget for it as quickly as I can before I’m out of time. But yes on paper the Toyos do seem like the best bet for me if I can get them.
  5. Need tires, decision paralysis.

As of today they’re still not available through my chosen vendor unfortunately. They do seem to be a popular option though!
  6. Need tires, decision paralysis.

They're still a highway tire though which is not what I'm looking for (good as they may be!)
  7. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I had thought about that, I’d be curious to hear your feedback after moving to the LT rated tire.
  8. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Well I’ll have to give them a call and see what they say :)
  9. Need tires, decision paralysis.

True! But that would prevent me from being able to buy their certificates for damage replacements (something I’ve had to rely upon in the past!)
  10. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I understand that and I did read the thread but it’s a 275/60R20 size tire and that’s not what I have. I want to stay with the original 275/65R20 size offered with the 20” All Terrain wheels as I noted in my original post.
  11. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I appreciate all the insight. I was primarily torn between the two as they seemed to do everything I wanted (with range loss being the only real penalty). The EV Toyos seem really promising, but also based on the pricing they’re by far the most expensive (though the discount coupon on...

Thank you all for sharing your insights and opinions, it’s really appreciated!
  13. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I hadn’t as I wanted to stay with the stock 275/65R20 size
  14. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Due to my uneven wear my fronts are still “ok” between 6-7/32 (variation between outside, middle and inside) my right rear is about 5-6/32 and my left rear is a solid 4/32. It’s that left rear that has me concerned ultimately. It’s not unsafe yet but I need to get it done on the sooner side...
  15. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I had looked at those based on the feedback I’ve been seeing here, to my knowledge they’re not available through my preferred shop. Also, and I’m a little embarrassed to say this, but as with the nittos, I don’t really love how they look. I know that’s not the whole story on tires, but...
  16. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Oh really? That’s interesting I suppose I should call and ask again. When I inquired about them they said they didn’t have them in the system or a way to get them as of yet (I suppose this is going to be a store by store scenario). Thanks for the tip though!
  17. Need tires, decision paralysis.

Indeed! I’ve followed all the threads which has really helped my research, but I’m prone to analysis paralysis. It’s a flaw. The Falkens? Or which option did you go with? But I appreciate this feedback, that’s honestly where I’m at, my commute has been “deleted” now that I work from home, so...
  18. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I had looked at the Defender (I’m generally a big fan of Michelin!) but it seemed on paper to be more of a highway tire and not really what I was looking for. I’m far from an expert here though so I would happily be proven wrong.
  19. Need tires, decision paralysis.

I have to buy tires in the very near future and I'm stuck trying to decide after seemingly endless research. I have the 20" ATs, and my Pirellis just didn't last long enough for me (though I had no complaints on their performance or comfort). I know I'm going to have to make some compromises...
  20. Toyo Open Country A/T EV tires mounted (will update over weekend test)

So, any first impressions? I had been waiting for these as a “lighter” LT option but curious how your overall gut feeling is at our stock 20” size
