We had a 2013 Model S P85 (one of the first in my state). Ours really didn't have a ton of issues. Never had to replace the door handles :)
What we did have replaced (Tesla Rangers came to our house to service):
- Rear drive unit after 30k miles (Tesla flat bed it to service center, covered...
Guide reached out to me Saturday afternoon to let me know my truck is at a body shop and they will check tomorrow to see what the ETA is to get the truck. If it just made it to a body shop last week then some how I doubt we'll receive the truck in April.
I'm going to be asking for specifics on...
Columbia area.
Our R1T was supposed to be delivered March 25th but delivery day morning I received a text from my guide saying the truck was damaged during delivery.
Reached out to my guide last week for an update and was told it went to a body shop for an estimate.
Tried texting my guide...
UPDATE on the update
Rivian guide confirmed damage would not be attached to my VIN as it was a factory issue.
The guide clarified that the damage to the tailgate was more about quality concerns as the tailgate was still functional and it wasn't due to it being smashed in or anything like...
Yours was the R1T with the tiger striping wasn't it? That's a tough one. I wanted to reply to your thread and suggest you argue for a new vehicle. Mine is just a tailgate, yours seemed to be the entire truck.
I can definitely sympathize with your situation and hope Rivian steps up and ,imho...
Update*
I contacted my guide today to check the status of my vehicle. It went to a body shop yesterday (one week after original delivery date).
Guide said they believe I would get the vehicle back in April.
I have asked for clarification to the extent of the damage and confirmation if it will...
I am up in the Columbia area. We were supposed to have our truck delivered last week but it was damaged on the way. So they will deliver to us in SC, if that's what you are asking.
That is a bummer!
I am sorry you are having to deal with all of it.
From your pic it also looks like the lower part of the fascia is misaligned. The good news is, when they fix the hood they can take care of the panel alignment as well.
Thanks all. In the scheme of life it's just a bummer. It could be worse, I could be living in the Ukraine right now.
The guide said it was rear tailgate and light bar, thinks they will replace and not repair. We shall see.
That's a good question.
I'm assuming it does not affect me as I have not signed anything acknowledging receiving the vehicle. We paid outright for the truck so the financing side of it is not an issue.
We were scheduled to receive our vehicle today.
The first text I received this morning was from our guide letting us know our truck was damaged during transit. Rear part of truck. Not sure how extensive it was. ETA 'guess' is a couple of weeks. Talk about a bummer.
He was interviewed on Rivian Stories (youtube). That's probably where you saw him.
I almost went with Silver, looks good in the video. Hope FG looks as good in person.
I would like to see a 'all purpose mode' at 80 mph test as well as that is the way I'll drive my Rivian most of the time.
Going by my own experience in the EVs I've had, anything over 75 really starts to eat into the battery. On a decent day, at 80 mph on the interstate, my Model 3 performance...
I was anticipating getting my R1T this coming week but I am still at stage 8, "Preparing vehicle". We'll see how it goes this week. If I were to take a guess, I'd say delivery in the next two to three weeks.
UPDATE: Just received a call, delivery is now scheduled for March 25th.
