Imagine hoping a tire comes in 1-2 years then you get a flat on a trip and can't get a replacement...
Still does not negate the fact every demo and review to date has been on 20's. Clearly a reason why.
Just remember the R1S came out about 2-3 years after the R1T. I would expect it to take over 2 years before any other options appear on the market. The range difference will be negligible.
Don't you find it odd that all the review cars and now the demo cars are coming on 20's. Sounds like...
Besides better ride, the sheer number of available tires allows you to pick what you want. Heres another shocker, all tire options available for the 20 are less than the 21 option. I plan to go to defenders as soon as they are ready to be replaced. I have the defenders on my R1 and they are...
LOL
Since these are all on the 5-cycle test pattern none will achieve the rated range. Expect 280-300 for real actual use at 100% SOC. I charge my R1's daily not an issue the extra range. You will never actually realize a difference. Similar range penalty on the R1 and has never been an issue...
I have seen the tires in person and the tread on the 21 is very very low, i think you will be lucky to get 20k miles out of a set. Just for reference on the OG 21 from the R1 it took 3 years to get more option and none are as cheap as the 20's.
a set of the 21's is $2k and a set of the 20's is...
If they used the 5-cycle test and not the 2 this in real world will never get over 300 miles. The stated range is the actual. This is why BMW, Porsche and MB exceed the rating. This is also why the R1 got very close to exceeding the published range. Real Range on a full change will be closer to...
If you read the announcement, it states deliveries will happen on June 9th. For this to happen the people that are getting those cars have already received the invite to select color and options along with sort financing.
I think what they are saying is that people who live by more than 1 are being prioritized. IE Ca. I have 3 service centers and 2 show rooms within 15 miles of me.
I believe invites already went out for car deliveries for June 9th. In order to finalize color options and financing. It's shocking that no one on here received an invite...
And roll in the Negative equity... LOL you have to be crazy. Rivian does not work like other car companies. Since they don't have in house financing you either have to complete the lease or absorb the negative equity. The car has a residual of $55k and they offered $43k....
Rivian has no pull ahead program since all the financing is done through chase. Your options are wait till end of lease and pay disposition fee or make all payments now and return early. You are still responsible for disposition fee. My R1T lease ends in Nov of this year and I will pay off and...
Once the reservation turns to a deposit you are locked in. Usually within a week of confirmation your vin shows up in the app. Yes, the R1 had a much larger reservation / deposit requirement.
I would disagree with this in mass production. The best cars to get at any new launch are cars 1-5k, the worst cars are 5k-15k, then back to ok cars. The first 5k will be meticulously inspected to ensure the line is working properly. The 5-15k will be the line running a full speed, new quality...
An adapter will exist that is cylindrical for the jack side and 2x4 on the car side. These were 100% made for side lifts in the SC and also on the production line..
I think the only reason for the delay is to sort the financial programs they plan to offer. Knowing there have been mentions of leasing on LE models this could be what is holding the release. Once the configurator launches the estimators also need to be loaded.
