$1,261+ tax with 0 down only drive offs. 15k per year miles. That is so expensive for what you get. Macan 4S EV I just got quoted $1,200 a month with 0 down. Sticker is $104k
Here is a thought for everyone. I take Rivian service over having to deal with a dealer to purchase a car. I have owned a lot of cars and can say without a doubt the no dealer model for a buying experience alone is reason to overlook any perceived service headache...
I own 2 Rivian's, An R1T QM and R1S QM. No problems and my SC is very communicative when I have had to replace windshields and standard inspections. I also think you have the value proposition wrong. Rivian has a very unique nice for the buyer in this price category. Its the primary reason...
Media already have them. My neighbor is a reviewer and has had one since the Road Shows started. Influencer... what 20-100 cars if that... If you are a current owner, day 1 reservation and want an LE you will get one this summer.
These will all go to employees. The first 1,600 or so will all go to internal people. Yes, these are customer cars since they are not pilot production units. external customer cars wont be produced till May.
Someone posted in the chat and got a detailed answer from Rivian. The LE / P models 21" and 20" are both forged aluminum.
The 20" is about 10% less efficient in range due to rolling resistance. The 21" is purely being the standard to achieve max range. This also applies to tire option. Expect...
I do a set a year. I average about 20k miles per year. the stock 21's did not even last me 13k miles... My 20's with Defenders will get 45-50k out of 1 set. Not to mention the better drive and road noise reduction.
Less than a 3yr ROI then in the positive. If i plan to keep my car 5 year then the savings are huge. Also keep in mind this is just for use replacement. This does not include any tire damage. Once you factor that it its almost a no brainer.
Most likely the 20" rims will be a $2,500-$3k upgrade. If I remember correctly, they will be forged, so a huge improvement over the 21" in durability. I do really like the 21's but considering the 20's are $700 cheaper than the 21' It's a no brainer.
I fell into the same trap on the R1t and...
At the Road show speaking with a Rivian employee i mentioned my reservation day and that currently an owner and was told Ill have a LE early summer. Anticipating June to August.
I was considering buying mine out at end of lease but it’s a terrible financial proposition. Residual on my 23 R1T quad is $55k. Current value $42k. They are immediately upside down.
