  1. Count Orlok spotted

Orlok doesn't show up in a mirror...
  2. Front License Plate Mount that looks good and high quality?

FWIW I have the standard Rivian installed front plate bracket and it has pretty much the same shadow. You'd think there would be an easy way to map the shadow out of the image just using the software, at the very least for the OEM installed offering.
  3. Manual tonneau cover installed on my R1T ?

I have had my truck for about 7 months, and did not order to tonneau initially, so I'd imagine they'll want me to pay the current full price from the gear shop, if it ever gets in there. I had been hoping out for a cap to come out on the aftermarket, but we'll see when that happens.
  4. Manual tonneau cover installed on my R1T ?

Looks great! Really wish I'd put one on my order before they slapped a 1k price hike on them. BTW, if anyone wants to unload their $800 OEM manual tonneau cover for a couple hundred in profit, I'm your guy!
  5. Visited the Chelsea, MA Rivian Service Center

I have to say, after having my first service call done there, I think they're ready for a new location nearby. My (biased) vote is for something in central NH that could service ME, NH, VT and a fair amount of Northern MA. Not complaining about the service I received, but it was quite clear...
  6. Windshield cracked - hit by a rock on the highway

I took a chip on a business trip the other day, didn't think it had spidered yet, and then safelite got here for the repair. Guess I'm putting a ticket in, and we'll see who is able to get a new windshield quicker, safelite or the service location.
  7. Solar Integrated Charging

Thanks to everyone for the replies, sounds like HA (and maybe a smarter charger than the Rivian one I have) would work for the dream scenario. In the interim I'll hope one of the many Tesla programmers Rivian poached is planning to update the charging capabilities in the app.
  8. Solar Integrated Charging

We do have net metering, but the rates are favorable to the service provider, so I get paid less for the electric I'm feeding back than I pay for the stuff I'm taking when I have a higher need. Based on location I think I may be driving a nuclear powered truck if I just charge off the grid...
  9. Solar Integrated Charging

Lately I've been trying to time charging the Riv alongside the peak solar production on panels (peak output at 6kwh.) What I've been finding is that I can make sure I'm only using my excess solar production if I go into the truck and modify the charging speed to about 20amps, which gets me about...
  10. What do you use your R1T bed for? (Picture Edition)

Harvested some wood from the trees that came down in the last blizzard, and people say it's not a real truck...
  11. What do you use your R1T bed for? (Picture Edition)

Hard to see the load, but just giving away an old loveseat. The focus of the pics was the camp mode level feature's range on the suspension, which was awesome!
  12. Extreme Cold Weather Results (up to -11ºf)

About the same experience (down to the degrees) here in NH, I'm hopeful once it warms up it'll come back together, possibly with a hard reboot. Next time it's looking like an arctic spell I think I'll cancel kneel mode on that last drive beforehand...
  13. Manual tonneau cover blues

I was waiting to see how it played out to decide if I was going to order one...$1000 ago. That may just make me look 3rd party.
  14. Which upcoming vehicles are you most excited to see?

Surprised not to see mention of the EQG yet. Then again, I almost bought an 80s ex-military G instead of the R1T, because there is a deep conflict in my soul over technology.
  15. Ski / snow trip experience with the R1T

I think snow performance in the R1T is actually pretty impressive. Just went out for a trip in my R1T (20" ATs) in this Northeastern snowstorm on some pretty twisting, hilly, unplowed roads. I did try sand mode and I felt like it made a pretty solid difference on the worst of the roads when I...
  16. R1T Orders: Dec '22 - Jan '23 -- Status Room

One of those Forest Green R1Ts is mine! Was supposed to get it last Tuesday, but the virus finally caught up with me...
  17. VIN during the 8-Step Process?

That's awesome news, congrats to you too, see you out there!
  18. VIN during the 8-Step Process?

That's certainly a positive sign, and to encourage you more, I got the text today, delivery is happening next week! Chelsea SC probably will contact you soon too, I'd bet.
  19. VIN during the 8-Step Process?

I have to imagine that the computer error shouldn't be a factor in the readiness of your vehicle, my guess is both of ours are either still in route, or on the lot pending QA or something. Either way, looks like I'll have a charger installed before I have a truck!
