Sounds really, eerily similar to my issue last Dec at 4k miles. My truck was a complete brick. Could not access either the gear tunnels, Frunk, or bed. Maddening. Ended up being a failed inverter due to a coolant leak. The inverter, rear drive unit and 12v battery were replaced under...
I'm kind of the opposite. I think the gear tunnel is a brilliant bit of storage. We use it often during road trips as we can store an obscene amount of gear/luggage in the gear tunnel, frunk and bed and keep it completely out of site.
Have a fairly strong mildew smell emanating from the frunk. No moisture seen. the carpet covered shelf is dry, if stinky. The smell is isolated to the frunk. This does NOT affect the HVAC at all - very familiar with that issue from my Model 3 days. Any thoughts? What I am not sure of is...
I’ve had issues recently home charging as well. Starting at 11.2kw and dropping to 6.4 after a couple hours. Adapter getting hot. Going to try cleaning contacts with. Isopropyl alcohol today to see if that helps.
Once in my Rivian. First time is unsettling, but it just effects the ancillary systems.
Happened almost every long trip with my Tesla. There must have been some sort of memory leak associated with Navigation.
I’ve tried EV go twice later in the evening and both times the chargers were behind locked gates at car dealerships. I had trouble removing the network from the charging options for a while, but that was fixed in one of recent updates.
on the other hand - I’ve had pretty good experiences (...
Personally. I would definitely purchase an extended warranty. I really like my R1T, but I’ve already replaced a drive unit and inverter ($15K per the tech), NFC reader in 6K miles of ownership. I personally wouldn’t own one of these beasts without a warranty. Honestly that applies to almost...
exactly - sounds similar to what happened when my rear drive and inverter failed. Mine wasn't drivable, yours may get there at some point in the near future
Great review! Interesting about the proximity locking. I also have an iPhone 15 and it works as well as my M3P did. Love my truck. Rattles are annoying, am nervous about the long term after replacing a drive unit at 4K miles
+1 here. That pleather wrapped section isn’t comparable to the wood in my opinion. Accepting that compromise would have gnawed a hole in my brain every time I hopped in for a drive.
Yep - I made that mistake once. made for a harrowing trip back to an available charger. The Tesla App or the Nav screen will show available charging stations on the Tesla network
I had my Power cover installed at the beginning of Jan. It looks great. I have to admit that using the mechanism gives me angst every time I use it. It's a noisy clunky beast.
