Once in my Rivian. First time is unsettling, but it just effects the ancillary systems.
Happened almost every long trip with my Tesla. There must have been some sort of memory leak associated with Navigation.

It’s happened to me too. It’s not just really an EV thing - it also happened on my previous 2019 Volvo.

As someone else above said, safety critical systems are separated from the infotainment, nav, and other less critical systems. Safety regulations require that for good reason!

Mine used to do this frequently in the hot temps of summer. Never in winter. The first time I took it in they claimed to have fixed it, but no change. It got so bad that it would do it 5 times in my 15 minute commute home at the end of the day. Never in the morning when it was cool.

It took 2 more trips to the service center to get it fixed. Each time they replaced various control modules until they tracked down the cause.

I had this occur once since the latest update. This is the first time since owning my R1S from Dec 23.

Happened last weekend while using the Nav. After the infotainment rebooted, the Nav resumed as if it had never been away....

Best to all!
