I’ve just completed my first of hopefully many road trips in my new R1T. This is my first EV and I had only had it for a week before departing for South Padre Island. When you get south of San Antonio and west of Houston it is one giant charging desert, so I attempted to plan extensively. My...
How was the charging in Panama City? I'm planning on making the trip from Texas later this year. From what I've seen on the various charging maps, its pretty limited.
Also, not sure if you or anyone else who chimes in here knows but, does the nema adapter bundle from Tesla work with the...
While that isn’t terrible, I’m a little surprised. I was expecting this tire/wheel combo to be the same or possibly slightly better than stock 21’s. Just curious, did you have your aero covers in with the 21’s. I’ve done a little research and seen they have around a 3% effect.
tire size has been a major concern of mine since deciding to buy the Rivian. I wanted the efficiency of the 21s but didn't want to be trapped into a single or eventually very limited tire selection. This is why I decided on the 20s. back in February last year there was a discussion about this...
It looks that way. For $800 A spare includes a Jack and change kit supposedly. But a new set of 4 is $4140, $1035/tire. I think ill be holding out for the spare.
I have thought of this, but not acted on it. If 3 other people in the DFW metroplex are interested in splitting a set of tires, message me.
I’m fairly confident that Rivian considering a spare tire an “accessory” On an adventure vehicle is the most ridiculous thing imaginable. I wouldn’t...
Just ordered my crossbars. Did they lower prices for everyone for these items? I was under the impression that it was only for pre-March order holders.
Also, why can they sell a full set of tires but not a spare?
Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of how to make this work. Maybe they need to hire you to get this thing going.
I remember reading about it potentially turning in to a table also, but you’re the first person to mention it. I was starting to think I had dreamed it. was a huge selling...
My insurance agent is a personal friend so that helps in that department. I may just need too slow down the financing a bit. I haven’t researched in a few weeks but I went with parson’s. They seem to have the lowest or very near the lower rates. So far they’ve been very easy to work with too
So according to my guide, the truck just finished production and is going through final inspections be loaded for shipping. She actually recommended on holding off getting insurance and financing for now. I’d already finished arranging insurance and started the financing process.
Interesting, I would have Thought the truck would at least be manufactured before assigning the vin. I guess I should contact my guide and talk to her soon.
Oh really? I was thinking that 8 steps opened once manufacturing of your model had completed and it was the shipping that was typically the most rate limiting step to prolonging delivery.
Good to know. That’s what I was suspecting but wasn’t sure. Fingers crossed it’s already on a train car somewhere. Or even better, at the service center.
Thanks! I was trying to time the trip with the arrival of the truck but also was going to go regardless of having it. I literally booked everything last night. I know it’s not likely but am still hoping It’ll arrive in time.
