  1. Post your commute stats - New energy monitor is great!

Yeah, I think they attribute all regen to “propulsion” in the net numbers. I think they made it a little hard by trying to represent losses of energy without using negative values. So then when you need to account for regen, do you use + like they did to mean it was “added” or do you use - to...
  2. 3D CupHolders 2nd Row

You’re welcome! Somehow I just ran across this thread… and figured I’d say hi! Now that it’s been a while, do you still use the cup holders? Just curious how they have held up (on usefulness) for you.
  3. Post your commute stats - New energy monitor is great!

Sorry, I had edited my previous post with slightly more details, but it probably also still doesn't answer this question. The graph is showing "consumed" energy, hence they could be all considered negative values (though it doesn't show that), so it shows "+9.6" to indicate you added this much...
  4. Post your commute stats - New energy monitor is great!

Tap the "41.9 miles" so it switches the units to kWh and don't go back :) edit: and for clarity on what this means... it says you consumed a total of "41.9 miles" of energy (which doesn't really make much sense imo, hence using kWh), but regenerative braking gave back 9.6 miles of energy. This...
  5. Made DIY black-out window shades for camping in my R1S.

I think I only ended up using 4 of them for the trunk window. The clips are actually pretty small.. probably too small. I wanted them low profile but I remember having them fall out a few times. You should try for yourself though and maybe scale them up to 150 or 200%. If I remember right...
  6. Customizable Console Organizer (3D Print)

Thanks for the photos with actual stuff in them! It's always interesting to see how folks organize things and what they choose to put in their car. :) I like your color combo... looks great.
  7. Dead Pedal Extender / Riser by TWRAPS

The Tuxmat description says it's a vinyl outer layer, so I'd guess it would stick pretty well, assuming it's cleaned well. That said, since the Tuxmat covers the dead pedal area completely, I would try just putting a piece of wood down under the mat to raise it a bit. I just don't know if it...
  8. Dead Pedal Extender / Riser by TWRAPS

Maybe a simpler version (no nubs on top) with something like this applied? It doesn't exactly match the styling, but it's close... https://a.co/d/fY9zKBL
  9. Dead Pedal Extender / Riser by TWRAPS

It's definitely a personal preference thing. I generally don't use them either, but I think that's more because they're never in a good position. When I was testing my 3d printed version I found I used it more often and it made things significantly more comfortable. But I have to admit I do...
  10. Dead Pedal Extender / Riser by TWRAPS

Hah! I have a 3D printed version I was working on for a while (never quite finished) ... very similar, but this one looks a bit thicker than mine. I couldn't figure out a good way to connect it to the car. I guess double-sided tape works, but I was searching for a more mechanical connection...
  11. SoonishEV: Apex CRS Reel Mount for the R1S!

OK. No worries, I was just curious if we could re-print them ourselves, if needed. I figured it was a long-shot that they'd be exactly the same :)
  12. SoonishEV: Apex CRS Reel Mount for the R1S!

Nice. Those 3D printed mount clips look similar to the trunk brackets I designed. They wouldn't happen to be the same ones in case we needed/wanted to re-print them, would they?
  13. Customizable Console Organizer (3D Print)

There's only one set of heights for this model. I have a variant (in the Experiments folder) that will fit on an A1 mini print bed, but the height of the base and upper tray are the same. On one of my early posts, I showed a slicer picture where I played with the idea of cutting a hole in it...
  14. Cup Holder Updates - March 2025 (3D Print)

The clip models all use rounded edges so there shouldn't be any sharp edges. The last thing I want to do is ruin my car. Personally, I use a larger elephant's foot compensation (0.3mm) because the defaults in PrusaSlicer (0.2mm) don't seem sufficient. If you're worried about rubbing between...
  15. Cup Holder Updates - March 2025 (3D Print)

The end of this month will be the 1 year anniversary of publishing my Rivian Cup Holder 3D print models. It's grown a lot this past year, but wanted to post about all of the changes I've made in the last couple of months. There are some great additions and enhancements. New locking pin design...
  16. Dimensions for Rivian Center Console Organizer?

Correct. You can see a lot of photos in this other thread where I created a 3D printed version. You can see comparison photos of the OEM one to my model here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/customizable-console-organizer-3d-print.37096/post-681516
  17. Unreal Engine: Rivian UX Program Update: From Early Adoption to Full Lineup

I'm actually curious how much difference there is between Gen1 and Gen2 on the infotainment system... The ADAS parts are massively upgraded, but according to Vidya in the recent Monroe video (@21:40 if the link doesn't take you there), the infotainment is "a Qualcomm processor, very similar to...
  18. Dashboard phone charger/mount by TWRAPS (left of the steering wheel)

Just curious, what is it made out of? The description just says "Premium, Matte Black Plastic".
  19. s00nish Production Update on Chargers

Thanks for the extra photo from an angle. That helps show the color/finish a bit better, I think!
  20. s00nish Production Update on Chargers

I really like the idea of using silicone for the grip and durability. I’m reserving judgement until more photos and the install video drops. I think the blank sample is kinda boring after the originals with the topo engraved. And the colors in the photo don’t seem great, so I’m having a hard...
