I'm not sure how much help the TPU would provide for the coin noise. It's mostly the coins rattling around with each other that I hear. I like the idea of having some solid blocks of various sizes that you could use to customize in the slicer using negative modifiers.
I've added a coin clip to the models for the handful of folks who actually use coins, like myself. The idea being that you clip a stack (~6 US quarters) together and use that as a weight to hold all the other coins in place so they don't rattle while driving. I've only just now printed my own...
Yes. I found it withstands minor dings and such better than anything else and given these will have random stuff thrown in it seemed like a good fit. Almost like a fuzzy texture for the top …
edit: was really only intended for the base and top … the accessories probably would look better with...
I've uploaded all of the STEP files now. If you make or remix this, I'd love to see how it turns out. It's always fun to see what color combinations folks choose and how you organize your center console (or don't!). I encourage you to publish a make on the printables site so other folks can...
I have a new model for the keys that allows larger keys. It also adds an internal piece to help hold the key in place and keep it from rattling. Its pretty tight for the big keys but pretty nice for the regular ones. Unclear how well it’ll last long term or if it’ll warp over time. The top photo...
I could probably provide STEP files. It's just more work to export out of Fusion any time I make changes :) I really need to figure out the scripting side of fusion to help with some of this. And since I just use the free version, I don't have access to the configurations feature, so I have...
Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I wasn't sure about a large house key, if that would be useful, but I could see it being helpful. Maybe I'll add a second key model that has wider holes and more space to fit 2 or 3 large keys...
I finally managed to get my final version printed this weekend and...
Thanks for the feedback on the .3mf with hidden models causing problems. I've updated the .3mf to make sure all of the models are visible. I've also updated the printables page with an "assembled" model that's colorized for fun! If anyone has printed them and added magnets, I'd love any...
And to continue the discussion on what yellow is closest to Rivian yellow ... I realized that California Filament had sent me a sample with my last order. So here are a few photos comparing it to Overture Yellow PETG printed and up against parts of the car in different lighting ... Overture is...
https://www.printables.com/model/759646-rivian-air-vent-hook you can see a closer look at the Overture yellow in one of my photos.
The other one looks like Rob's: https://www.printables.com/model/613470-opensourceev-seat-back-hanger-for-rivian-r1t-r1s
That’s odd. I’ve never used BambuSlicer but I imagine they’re all mostly the same. The models are likely just hidden/disabled. You’d see them in the preview greyed out but then they won’t slice. There’s too much to fit on the bed at once so I normally just enable the one model I want to print...
Yep! It's pretty close. It's what I used in my crossbar no-whistle photos. Still a bit too yellow, but close enough most folks don't notice. I've been meaning to try California Filament's Golden Yellow PETG too, as that one looks like it might be slightly more orange, which might make it a...
These are all PETG. Overture's Army Green on the base and California Filament's Matte Olive Green for the top bin. The black accessories are in Voxelab's Carbon Fiber PETG. I'm still trying to decide what color I want my final, final version to be...
