Question: if OpenPilot is installed, how much of a hassle would it be to switch back and forth to/from Driver+ (for whatever reason)?
Does it require disconnecting/reconnecting the wire harness, or is there a software-based option/toggle within OpenPilot that can simply do the switch?
Also, it's not clear (to me at least) whether it will fully work while the car is in motion (e.g. use case: passenger wants to watch Netflix/YouTube/Plex on the big screen while the car is in motion), or if it will limit functionality to specific driving-only apps that OP decides.
I think OP...
Yeah, I used an expired out-of-service plate I had handy for the photos instead of my real plate. It's kinda of an Easter egg showing a 2019 plate on a vehicle that wasn't released until 2021; I'm sure future historians/archivists are gonna get a kick out of that ?.
As for easier access to the...
The Problem
Having read several others' posts about some R1 owners encountering dead 12V battery problems at inconvenient places, I became obsessed looking for a solution that could allow me to resuscitate my R1T in a pinch, by myself, even without any other vehicles nearby to jump my 12V...
Just wanna share my experience where I did have to pay $400 to remove my rock sliders for a SC visit (see my post here for more details):
The cost included removal and reinstallation of the rock sliders (at least for me it did).
They only required removing the rock sliders in order to access...
It's like this clicking noise that's more apparent when it's regen braking, and the speed of the clicking corresponds to vehicle speed. At highway speeds, it's a dull mechanical hum, almost grindy.
I recorded the sound, but it's kind of hard to hear it in the recording. It's pretty obvious to...
Yes. They called and messaged me in-app about the required work and asked me if I wanted to proceed with the $400 charge. They sent me an updated service estimate to sign before they proceeded with doing the removal of the sliders.
I had installed @EV Sportline rock sliders on my 2022 R1T, but this PSA very likely applies to anyone who's had any aftermarket running boards or rock sliders installed on their vehicle.
I took my Gen 1 R1T into the service center about a month ago for some funky motor noise as well as loud...
I purchased a HEPA filter from a different seller (EV Sportline) that looks a lot like the one EveryAmp is selling, and if it's the same or similar manufacturer, the filter does noticeably restrict air flow for me.
I tested this by switching between recirculate and non-recirculating flow at...
Now that you've had a few weeks to run with the Defenders, what kind of efficiencies are you getting in comparison to the OEM ATs?
Edit: oops, I see you've posted a few days ago that the registered efficiency is same as your OEM ATs. That's a little disappointing as I would hope they'd be more...
Does this block the power outlets in the tunnel? Can you still operate the slide with an electrical plug plugged into the power outlets with the cover open?
Glad you're looking at making your design more lightweight/slimmer with access to some of the volume beneath your slide.
The one thing preventing me from buying any of the other companies' slides is just how much space their design (necessarily) takes up beneath the surface of their slides in...
If I had to guess, the 3% is probably the payment gateway (the platform they used to charge your credit card) fee that they normally have to pay for accepting your form of payment. It's a non-refundable fee that sellers eat as part of their cost of doing business (even if a refund of the sale...
It does lock from the rear, just like the OEM speaker. The car detects it like a speaker and allows you to lock the latching mechanism through the center console screen controls, just like the speaker.
The center arm rest storage is lockable. It locks when the vehicle is locked.
There are third-party/aftermarket drawers that can take the place of the Camp Speaker if you don't want the Speaker in the car. Our drawer design is lockable.
