If I had to guess, the 3% is probably the payment gateway (the platform they used to charge your credit card) fee that they normally have to pay for accepting your form of payment. It's a non-refundable fee that sellers eat as part of their cost of doing business (even if a refund of the sale was issued), which can be substantial if the sale price is high.We need more affordable options. I think all of these are immensely overpriced. I had ordered the thunderbolt option and cancelled two days later, I was surprised they actually charged me 3%, even though nothing was shipped out.
