Received mine yesterday, just over two weeks from the address confirmation email.
  2. Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

R1T 7/1/23 delivery 22XXX VIN, finally got my address confirmation email today 10/7/24
  3. My Gen1 R1T Adventure Quad config will be delayed from OTA update 2024.27

I received the update on this past Saturday so looks like they may have figured out their compatibility issue.
  4. My Gen1 R1T Adventure Quad config will be delayed from OTA update 2024.27

Whoops all turns out I DO NOT have the Meridian system but instead the in-house Rivian system. I think my confusion was my reservation had listed Meridian but the delivered and agreed-to VIN was the new config. So based on this and the responses from those WITH Meridian who all got the update...
  5. My Gen1 R1T Adventure Quad config will be delayed from OTA update 2024.27

Spoke to a knowledgeable service rep at the San Diego service center and he doesn’t know for certain but he suspects it has to do with the new “spacial audio” support on the Meridian sound configs. Mine indeed has that config. Those who got “the call” do you also have the Meridian and those...
  6. My Gen1 R1T Adventure Quad config will be delayed from OTA update 2024.27

Got a call from Rivian yesterday and they let me know that my specific config/VIN of my R1T Quad Adventure (July 2023 delivery, xx23k VIN) is currently incompatible with the latest update and will be delayed several months while they make the fix. Meanwhile they will extend the Connect+ "Trial"...

Totally agree regarding interior and capability. I've towed a 32ft trailer no problems and separately had 1200lbs of tile in the bed and backed up my steep driveway and it just sticks like glue to the ground and zero roll; electric motor braking/hill assist is underrated for truck stuff! Most...

Scenario is - my truck's HV system has an issue which would otherwise be covered under warranty. They notice a non-approved 3rd party adapter in the front trunk when tearing down the vehicle. They rightly assume the adapter has been used when charging the truck at least once. They cite the...

More access to junk chargers isn't terribly compelling. So far I'm fairly okay with most EVGo chargers (minor complaints there), but every other brand I've used is utterly terrible with Electrify America the worst of the worst with fewer than 50% of nozzles working and lines at every charger for...

My point is - it's on *me* to prove to *them*, to their sole satisfaction against which I have very little recourse, that I didn't do what the warranty specifically tells me not to do if I want to ensure coverage. You may be comfortable with that; I'm not.

The NACS charging standard is protocol agnostic, but hard to believe they can't know such a thing as "there is an adapter in the way of the electrons" or simply by surmising that my VIN hasn't been granted an approved adapter so therefore..." Any company, especially those who are hurting for...

That's very good news indeed if true, though if just speculation or just hearsay based on service center communication I wouldn't rely on it. Also wouldn't necessarily want to rely on the court system to enforce getting me back on the road. Source for that so I can look into it?

Per the US Warranty guide , page 16-17 (edited for clarity): "In addition, damage or the malfunction of the vehicle or any of its component parts is not covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty when caused by the following: ... - Using, or attempting to use, third-party CCS or NACS...

Good to know. I was just last week on the fence about taking my R1T on the road even without the adapter but had a last-minute bad DC fast charging experience (haven't had ANY good one since owning the truck) which solidified it for me, then my wife reminded me of FSD which sealed it. She can...

Agreed, and my MS is objectively more efficient than the R1T, but not by as much if I had a new MS so it's less of a factor for me in particular. And lack of efficiency wouldn't trump the comfort + storage for the family if the other two main reasons (Supercharging and FSD) were on par. If that...

To be honest I just used zip ties to connect the bottom of the pole to the passenger side gear tie down and more zip ties to connect it to the the cargo crossbar at the closest position. It effectively held the flag at a an angle so it could flap in the breeze but also have the pole fully within...

I absolutely adore my R1T. It's a blast to drive, super capable, great storage, much more comfortable interior, etc. That said, my Tesla Model S will be our family's road trip car for the foreseeable future. Here are my reasons: 1) Supercharger network (my 22k VIN will be a long while before I...
  18. My Rivian Driver+ almost killed me

I'm at 1,800 miles on my R1T and I use Highway Assist fairly regularly. I've also extensively used Ford's CoPilot Assist 360 on my Ford Explorer that this R1T replaced (not Blue Cruise), and Hyundai's Highway Driving Assist (HDA) on my mom's Palisade, as well as Tesla's FSD Beta 11.4.9 on my MS...
  19. Garage Remote Limitations

Just posting here that my Linear Access Pro gate is “not currently supported” after spending 6+ hours over three calls with Rivian support. Had zero issues with my Tesla and several Ford Explorers. Annoying especially if it is just a software issue.
